From money perhaps? Hard to tell on YouTube as you don't even know if the people own the cars they say they do, but his channel certainly isn't big enough to generate enough money to buy a car of any kind.
Update.
Had an intermittent misfire for a few weeks that caused a bit of hesitation when trying to gather speed quickly eg joining the motorway, and it gradually got worse to the point of it missing while idling in traffic and on occasion dropping down to 5 cylinders and showing an engine...
I was gonna say you're welcome to come drive mine but you're miles away lol.
That's a tough question, it's difficult because if I want to enjoy a manual car and maximum involvement I'll take the Clio out. If I didn't have that then I'd possibly have a manual daily, but then again I would...
It's decent imo, but I have limited experience with auto cars. It's very rarely in the wrong gear and you feel you have no grunt, always drops down perfectly for hills or if you push the pedal a bit more to overtake.
If I'm in the mood for a spirited drive then I'll push it over into sports...
It was my first auto too, I test drove a manual (albeit a 320i) and it felt a nice box, I'm just fed up of sitting in stop start traffic to and from work in a manual.
Definitely go and test one.
Some recent spots taken on my broken phone

Made a quick video earlier to test out the sound quality of the sjcam.
Car mounted camera is the Sj4000 wifi in its car cradle.
Tripod mounted is my trusty veho muvi hd without a case.
Just received my sj4000 wifi, seems like a decent bit of kit out the box. Got a few extra batteries with it too which is alway handy, hopefully get some recording time with it soon and see how it compares to the muvi hd.
Not including paint that sounds very steep imo. How are the inner sills? Would he just be replacing the outers?
I got a quote on my mk1 recently of £1200, that was both sills inc some patching of the near side inner, drivers side arch cut out and replaced and paint.
Bought a second hand set of H&Rs for the rear, cleaned them up and fitted them this weekend. Also removed the rear bumper and arch liners for the first time since Ive owned the car (8 years I think), surprising lack of rust but a lot of dirt built up in the liners.

Bit of a bump...
My brother finally built a new pc so I've been able to sort through my videos from the trip, the first one is of our failed drive up the Umbrail pass where the car first started to act up. Its not the most exciting 9mins but some nice scenery 😅
