They are pretty rare. Only 1000 were made if my memory serves me correctly with most of those now written off or butchered in one way or another. They do command a slight premium over a 'normal' GT Turbo - how much of a premium is anybody's guess depending on quality and originality.
Nothing mechanical. Black carpets, blue design on the seats instead of red, blue alloy wheels, little door pillar badge things, a blue GT Turbo badge on the back and a RAIDER sticker on the back window under the spoiler.
Exactly. Had mine for over 7 years and other than service items the only issue I've had was a dodgy hazard switch that was fixed under warranty anyway. It's been by far the most reliable car I've ever had.
Trying to get the headlight back on my ex's Citroen AX many years ago the thing wouldn't go back into place (had a sort of ball and socket fitting arrangement). Getting more and more frustrated I resorted to hitting it with the palm of my left hand which promptly went straight through it slicing...
I think these threads make a pleasant change actually. There's quite a lot of 1*2 bashing that goes on in here - which is odd considering it's a Clio forum. Me personally I love my little 182 and while I'm under no illusion that's it's the fastest or best thing ever - it has been, and continues...
Wow. Glad you're ok. A lady at my work used to get random fits (again - undiagnosed) and she wasn't allowed to drive for 6 months or so before they gave her the all clear. Hopefully your situation will be similar (or better!) and you'll be back behind the wheel as soon as possible.
My first car was a G reg Rover 1.1c Metro which, looking back now, was a horrendous little thing. Still, it didn't stop me going out and 'upgrading' 9 months later to a red Metro 1.4 GTi 16v. When I first drove it I felt like I'd bought a Ferrari and thought I was some sort of driving hero (then...
If your intuition and instincts are telling you that something is not quite right, then it is probably not quite right. Walk away from that one - another will turn up.
For me I'd be looking for words like 'mint condition' or 'no dents/scratches' - it really does make it a whole lot more appealing. You're 80% of the way there with the MOT and tax included and the belts being done (not to mention all the other work and parts) so by finishing it off you'll...
To be honest no threads on this forum go the way the OP wants them to! Haha! I just wanted to share my little drama with my fellow CS'ers. Besides its always good to get differing thoughts, whether I agree or not!
Anyway I've already stated that yes I could have moved over - but for whatever...
Well, as previously mentioned I don't think it would have mattered what lane I was in - I'm not sure that was the issue (although it may well have been) - I think it was more that I didn't stop when he first just pulled out in front of me. To be honest there was no way I could have stopped so I...
A fair enough comment. All I will say is that the guy was driving like a madman and was out to cause an accident - he was very pleased with himself that he did.

Cheers buddy. Still got to look on the bright side at least it was just a bit of chipped paint and a dig, and not a whole front end smashed in - or worse - a pile up!
With regards to the scamming thing I've just been round to the local bodyshop and got chatting to the chap in there. He says...
I'm not saying there was not space for me to move over as there was - like I said - hands up to that one. I'm not sure that was the reason that he was gunning for me. He initially pulled out in front of me, without indicating, which caused me to swerve when presumably he thought I was just going...
Maybe I didn't explain myself properly in my original post. This all happened in a 50mph zone at about 515pm and both the middle and slow lanes were cruising along at about 35 - maybe 40mph. For sure there was a large gap of say 7 or 8 car lengths to my left (before the first car in the slow...
I wouldn't have said it was empty - probably about the same as the lane I was in but granted neither of them were as full as the fast lane. Trust me when he first pulled out there was no indication or warning which is why I had to swerve. Even if he was pissed at that it was a complete...
Thing is even though he slammed on his anchors for no good reason, in the eyes of the insurance company any claim would be my fault as I went into the back of him. I can't see it coming to that but you never know. I'm just glad it was at low speed!
