i had a phone call last week from a customer (who funnily enough was booked in for a cambelt change at the time)
his car had conked out and the RAC man had towed him home
the info i was given over the phone was promising, apparently the RAC man said the cams were still turning
so anyway, i...
heated rear screen turns itself on and off by itself, you can hear the relay click etc
weird thing is, it does it with the button and fuse removed also, i'm stumped!
172 by the way
UCH knackered? or a dodgy earth?
would you/wouldn't you?
i'm about to take on a "blind" test of tyres, they're remoulded (technically nicer term is retread) The guy next door to me has been in the remould business for 30+ years and knows his onions (only bloke i know that still vulcanises damaged tyres)
the bikers amongst...
just needs mapping, spec is nothing fancy, cams, manifolds matched (thanks AWT!) 182 exhaust manifold, new clutch, fix all the oil leaks, make it look pretty etc
this car had had a recent cambelt change before the current owner bought the car (all went in the bin anyway) and it was quite...
remember the chap that fitted those tailpipes to his 182?
well using that as inspiration we thought we'd do the same
;)
(it is for a reason, the cars at certain tracks fail noise testing, with these "donkey dicks" they pass no bother)
just had a nose through and seen the new Samsung LED jobbie which is cool
was thinking of going for a samsung LCD anyway, i guess the LED one is better?
what's the latest technology etc? any websites to nose at?
i would say around a 40inch is all i want, big isn't beautiful :o
right here's one for you all
my mate has just become a copper and he says the following
per axle you must have the same tyres MAKE MODEL AND SIZE
now as far as i'm aware same size per axle and above 1.6mm and thats it, make and model is irrelevant
he's bet me £20 on this, i'm 99%...
can anyone tell me if this was part of the track? its the bypass road that runs from the right hander before you go up the hill to the carousel
i walked up it, steep is an understatement!
from the bottom looking up
from the top
i flew over saturday morning to meet up with trackklub denmark, so i wasn't driving so took the camera instead! (note i'm not a pro and this was my first attempt at taking pictures of fast moving objects!)
i've got loads more, i'll post them up as i work my way through them
the clever people at Goodridge have decided to supply the wrong lines for the 172/182 clios, i will post pictures, but be warned they DO NOT fit (maybe a dodgy batch or someone had an "off day") 3 sets i've had now, all the same, still arguing the toss with them now
front lines are...
i fitted some to a 172 yesterday and i'm actually shocked at how good they are Vs price!
not crashy, not too firm, just right! and they went sideways well too :D
thumbs up from me!
£300 odd including camber bolts, bargain!
car not cranking over
starter works fine if you bypass the control boxes etc etc, relays are all new etc
only £138 for a new one which ain't too bad! but obviously if that's not the problem then its £138 wasted!
got a normal rotary polisher/mop (big clarke fucker, powerful thing)
need a new sponge thingy for it (one with the female thread in the back)
what's good for removing light-medium marks from paint? also what polish do you recommend? car is black gold (aka a t**t)
