Currently i run around with tyre foam rather than a spare wheel in my 172. Obviously, with no support the boot floor is sagging into the spare wheel well. I know i could just cut some MDF but was wondering, is the spare wheel well welded up in the Cup and 182 models or is there an OEM ready cut...

I am wondering if it's worth getting one, they are over twice the price as a de-cat but at least i won't have the hassle and expense of swapping it over and back for every MOT (and can feel at one with the trees). The thing is though, i want some kind of improvement in noise for it to be worth...
