I have spoken to a some members who have had a Blackline fitted on track, loving it, it would seem. My Clutch gave way that same day, I have bought a Blackline LSD from matt lewis racing. £740 delivered to @NorthloopCup who is fitting it to a reconbox for me. It will be cheaper than any...
I've not owned one, but I can't see it being any worse. My 182 likes to see if the bulbs on the dash still work from time to time, clip diagnostic tool was a good investment. I know they handle better out of the box and have a more confortable seating position.
Parts for the 182 are cheaper...
I also managed to finish the clutch off at Cadwell Park, Sachs Clutch and lightened flywheel. Didn;t fancy a paddle Clutch as my noob clutch control likes a little more leway.
broke the clutch at 3pm, had great time upto then, had to nurse it home. I think it heard me talking to you and decided to give me an excuse to get one ;P
yeah bolted in to welded plates in the inside. was advised this was the best way for a stripped interior. The other option is plates on the underside and holes to clamp it togeater.
Upgraded the rainsport 5's (which are excellent for the money) to some pre used competion wets after seening some other people out on track with them.
I've not had a wet trackday since buying them though, looking forward to bugging some pork on cups 2's :P
Camper van is a must these days to load...
That's a great thing about these cars most of my Upgrades have been subsidised by selling the parts I have removed!
I sold the set of Turinis that came with it for £625 to fund a set of OZ Ultraleggeras.
Once the Blackine LSD is in I think I'll call it done, will probably tinker for years, but just need to learn to drive it better now :) Most of the handeling mod have just given me more confidence to lean on it each time. The geometry kit was an eye opener, lots less understeer will be...
I'm Nieut on battlenet, started playing Medal of honour then moved to Call of Duty when it first came out. I have played every version since. Mostly play TDM these days.
I decided to sell the bolt in K tech cage and went for a T45 half cage from JP cages, only cost me a £200 or so to trade up and it's 17kg lighter!
Got my stickers ready in advance ;P
New wheels bearings in the front, went for black sieries polly bushes with camber adjust as the camber bolts just didn't want to stay in place. PMS reinforcement plates, rear ARB and a Pro AM front geometery correction kit
The Dephaser needed doing, so I found some cheap 197 cams while I was at it! Birchdown for the dephase and setting up the cams, then off to Chris at EFI
while I'm replacing the clutch I decided I might aswell have a box with a blackline lsd fitted by @NorthloopCup
very excited to go try it out at Oulton park.
Might have guess my now once I start modding it's hard to stop. The BC coilovers were huge set up on track, had the car corner weighted and Geo.
the Scorpion 192 kept sagging in the middle on track replaced it with a Pure motor sport system. Sold the Turinis and bought a second set of OZ's with...
Next Mods were a Volantech Sabelt steering wheel,PMS shifter and a set of OZ Ulltraleggeras with a set of Rainsport 5's, did not feel great on a wet track with the NS2R's. Was very pleased with them, especially the PMS shifter and mine doesn't rattle much at all!
Came to the conclusion that the seating possition was a bit off and swapped the Sparco beat bases for some Jon Foz ones, much better!
Passenger on the Foz base.
New Disc and Pads all round, DS2500 pads, Set of NS2R's and Cadwell Park Novice day Booked. I was hooked after the day and booked Oulton park a week later.
Oh and some street race org, clio Cup decals, luckily a detailer friend turned up and helped me put them on or they would have been in the...
First Mod was a Numberplate, followed by a Trip to demon tweeks to try out seats. Went for the Sabelt GT3's as these were the best fit/comfortable.
Not having spannered much at all, I booked the car in with Demmon tweeks to have the seats and harness fitted.
