Yeah mate got home ok thanks. My dads friend has a garage not so far from the city centre and was going to pick me up in his recovery truck but managed to get it going.

I will do and have a check for broken wire or something thanks for the help

Surely someone's done a alternator lol

My alternator seemed to burn out caught fire a little my the looks of it. How big a job is it to change over, seen autodata it was like 3 hours or something. Also are there 2 different alternators 1 for aircon ? car is phase 2 clio 172

i recently just removed the spacers on the bottom of the seat so it would be slighlty lower and they're there, i thought it may have been quite a common fault

mine just seems to be the footwell, under the seat and behind it's fine

when i go in to the car in the morning there is a sometimes a small puddle if the rain had been bad during the night. I take it some draining hole is blocked or so anyone have any idea where ???

has any one got any pics of a colour coded front on a black phase 2 172/182 like the fog surrounds and was thinking of colour coding my grill aswell as its black, keep getting polish on it and its hard to get off thanks in advance
