After cleaning and painting.
Rear bumper off but was getting dark as you can see in the poor camera phone picture. Not bad for its age I thought.
Checked behind the side skirts and inside the 1/4 panels and found nothing, good coat of anti rust paint to help out just in case.
I know I...
Then all of the below is how the car was and sits at present. The above info tell how far I’ve got with it. No such order to the pictures they are just how they have come off my phone to the iPad.
So i have been on here a while now, looking and following threads and builds involving track based cars.
Loving the range and budgets people have/use for their cars.
So, with mine i thought i would give it ago with posting and putting up a thread of my own. This is the first Clio or even French...
That would handy, I’m not getting very far with Cromwell, discussed in the other thread.
The problem is the cages don’t hold up very well when being undone a few times that my only worry.
Hi everyone,
To the track/race car builders, could you give me an insight to the nuts and bolts you use when bolting the sub frame back on?
I have a few that look at the end of thier life and would like to replace, unles anyone knows the part numbers for Renault replacements?
Thank you in...
Welcome along to the club, if you haven’t done so already sign up with a paid membership as this will open a how world of knowledge for track days.
It’s a great car that you have chosen.
Brakes and tyres is where I would look at spending some money before your first day out. Nothing major, good...
I’m new to this site, mainly as I’ve just got a Clio for tracking and I have to say it’s a lot better then the fiesta st owners club. When the new one came out it it’s turned to “how much can I get from a remap”? or “how can I make it pop and bang”?
This site still has people willing to try and...
If they don't have a tool to remove it they may weld a bolt onto the wheel nut and remove it that way. Would mean you need to get a new set of locking wheel bolts
You won't need bigger injectors or fuel rail.
Mine was MR 200 with no engine mods other the a baffled oil sump, oil cooler and PAS cooler. I used 10W 60 oil as well. Most of the time the revs will be high due to the gearing of the fiesta.
you can use, like I did, final drive from a 1.4 fiesta...
Don't bother with the mondeo brakes.
You just in the calliper brackets from a focus ST170. With matching discs. 300mm. The calliper on the fiesta and the focus is the same size. It's the bracket is different allowing for the larger discs. All you need to do is re-drill the bolt holes to allow...
You maybe better off with a jubilee clip around it rather then the clip they use.
You can only get a certain amount of clamping force with a standard clip. In your case you may just need a little more of which the jubilee will give you.
You really have to check and check again that the boot at the box end has fully sealed in the housing. Get it clean and dry. Making sure it does fold in on its self.
If the shaft can be moved more the about 1.5/2mm back and forth between the hub and gearbox, it's new shaft time
I'm sure you could check with a multimeter what ohms resistance you need.
I assume you have removed it to remove the door cards for track? Can you not pug it back in again and cable tie/fix it in place.
