I think the standard one is 380mm and this one is 320mm, feels much smaller...and so much better ;) I got mine from Rallydesign.com and got the boss from eBay :approve:
Fitted my new RMD 320mm Suede wheel today, mounted on a MOMO boss, it feels so good to drive with, and the wheel cost less than 50 monies!
I ditched the centre horn button and substituted it with a bit of Alcantara i had left from trimming the dash strips to hide all the wires, i think it works...
:) Still live in Salisbury....i always look out for other people, never see anyone tho :(
We went 3 years running...did the whole weekend each time...was awesome, especially when they brought back the night stages...good times! :D
I was looking through all my old pictures on photobucket when i found this....
When we were driving between two stages a whole convoy of JWRC cars joined behind us and overtook us travelling to their next stage....
Random, but very cool when it happened, excuse the poor picture ;)
And a...
Like those wheels alot, awesome location too....I was trying to find a place like this for a photoshoot...if a meet/mini meet occurs here soon I would be well up for popping down with the RB ;)
From spending time sat in both, I would say the cobras are about an inch lower than my Recaros. They are very nice seats, a brilliant substitute for the Recaros IMO.
The weather was lush today, so a perfect opportunity to clean up the cars and head to the pub....and then take some photos ;)
My RB is pretty much unchanged except for a fresh 36k service, but Phil_ip's Titanium has had a nice set of Cobra buckets fitted, along with some fresh plates...
No, he got it off eBay...linky ---> http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/GENUINE-Alcantara-Fabric-Dark-Grey_W0QQitemZ350234725129QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Crafts_Fabric_Textiles_SM?hash=item518b9dcb09&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14
;)
Start to finish it took a whole hungover Sunday afternoon, its just a bit fiddly on corners and stuff.
I feel the need for another photo session soon so i will definately get some outside - in shots ;)
I used spray glue to stick it all down, its got a thin backing to it, so as long as you dont spray masses of glue on there it doesnt soak through.
Off of Egay...can buy it in all sorts of lengths i believe :)
Hey all...
Got hold of a bit of Alcantara from Phil_ip, and had a go at covering the pillars and the dash strips...im definately going to do the roofliner after the success i had with these bits...
I think it makes the interior look way less tacky...
as always, enjoy :approve:
