So today I finally got my clio back from the garage
My car was in to have a squeak it had been suffering with since I had got it looked at, the source was found to be something slipping or being loose on the front left pad, so both front pads and discs were changed (needed doing anyway) and I...
had the drivers side top mount replaced the other week, and literally havent even looked under the bonnet at it since then, looked last night with a few friends and one pointed to the newly changed mount and the rubber is about 1.5cm up from the body work, the other original one on the otherside...
hi, just wondering as i have seen a fair few RS clios's around my area (east sussex) im just wondering if any members are nearby?
would be decent to meet up if any are about.
And now I'm waiting for some new lights to be delivered. A new license plate led light, a pair of yellow SMD LED fog lights & a pair of bright led side lights to match my xenons. Should be here next week.
And then we did this for no major reason other than 'yolo' unfortunately.
Cleaned up the metal work underneath before fitting the carbon effect wrapped cover back! Not the best work but only a first attempt!
And then last night me and a friend manged to fit a BMC carbon induction kit off his cupra 280 which was crashed into (part was never fitted to the car ) and this is the result:
Think it fits rather well and sounds much throatier too!
Many drives have been made in my car with friends, and the best was the other weekend where I was accompanied by my friends in their St, Fabia vrs and mg zr. Obviously they couldn't keep up ;)
Just thought I'd start a thread showing the changes I have/will be doing to my car since I've owned it, which was at the start of January this year.
Firsth thing was 4 new tyres all round, hankook s1 evo's were the choice.
Then I fitted new Bosch aero blades as mine were torn up.
That's when...
Recenlty a friend got his brand new cupra 280 written off, and he had a new BMC induction kit for it, which was never used and so offered it to me. Managed to hook it all up and this is the result!
Afterwards we got a bit bored so did this too with some carbon effect vinyl wrap.... Cleaned...
like 'dur of course they help!? why else would i have them on all the time? 😅
but on a serious note they look far better than my friends who run HID's.
i hope they are bright! cost enough for the pair off amazon! should be here in around 2 weeks and will deffo get some pics up of before and afters of all of them.
thought id use up my xmas amazon gift card and buy some new bulbs for the clio. recently found out my license plate bulb has died so replacing that with an LED version:

also only one of my fog lights works (been like that since i...
Haha they may very well have been jealous of me!
& I may have hit 5k too soon, but I didn't wheel spin & I didnt notice it revving excessively upon setting off, I feel I have some ability in managing the throttle for quick starts now though.
Oh I thought it smelling like that meant it was stuffed haha! & yes after I did a full on standing start drag race and overtook my friends (full throttle obviously) they said it stank...
I do need to get a new system anyway so I thought may as well go de-cat as I do want it to sound nice!
Oh...
lovely, pretty much what im looking for then! dont want something too mad at normal speeds/rpm, and i rarely go on motorways so droning isnt a concern! yes thats the site i had found for it already, good to know that they still sell them then! thanks for your reinforcement to get one btw! should...
Yes don't worry I inderstadn what you mean, I've read and heard that 1*2's do sound quite nice with full decay systems and ive had my eye on a scorpion one since well before I even got my car! Running a de-cat would not bother me, more so people living near me when I come home in the small...
in the near future i should hopefully be getting a scorpion rs192 system, if the mini-site from this forum for the system still actually works and has them made?
after a drive with friends the other night i was told that when i floored it off in front of my mates it smelt a bit eggy i.e that my...
i looked at a blue 172 cup, but walked away as it just wasnt right. now have a black 182, and im so glad i got the one i have, automatic lights/wipers, xenons and a nicer interior more than make up for an ever so slightly different exterior (spoiler/splitter/wheels).
jeff simply - where are you...
its a 182 with non-cup suspension. the noise is like something squeaking/grinding, thats hwat it sounds like to me. and because im not a mechanic and have literally no access to any tools or anything i cant actually diagnose this myself, but i took a friend out in it lastnight and he said it...
