Some of you might know I've had about 5 RS clios now and the most recent 172 cup was bought for whizzing around Berlin when I was working out there. It had a hard life in -30° temps...
Now being back in Bristol, it's not getting any use and so I'm using it as a track/weekend/teach myself...
Had a good listen and can't hear anything but guessing it's something to do with the fuel rail so will have to try and find some brake cleaner out here in Berlin...
Reset the ECU with a battery disconnect yesterday. Left it for a few hours and then took it out for a nice hour long thrash. All seems well when warm but defo still doing it on cold start for a good 5-10mins.
Morning all
So my shed (nearly 135k miles now!!!) recently had a new injector and since then has been revving itself when dipping the clutch whilst coming to a stand still. This seems to be most pronounced when cold but it is rarely getting warm lately as the drive to work is roughly 4...
So finally got round to it today. Cup had 1 10mm and 1 13mm nut for the rail guard but otherwise was dam straightforward. Even able to clear the fault light with Dash Command on my iPhone. :D
When you say unclip connection on fuel rail, you mean fuel connection? Is that simple and did fuel spray everywhere? lol
Just checked ECP as fairly desperate too, looks like they've gone up to £40! haha
Ah awesome! Well i have very limited tools out here in Berlin but from what i've read its a couple 13mm bolts for the guard, 2x 10mm for the rail and thats it? Did you do anything else? Disconnect battery and fuel pump? I was going to get one new from Renparts for £32.50 on eBay?
Hi all
So need a bit of help with my cup which is out in berlin. Sounds and feels like it's misfiring and I'm getting a judder/lack of power through all gears and the flashing management light.
I have very little resources in berlin and haven't touched injectors, coilpack or plugs before so...
Haha yeh was quite a few years back. Yeh the jobs awesome. All I've ever wanted to do. Just a bit hard with the commuting. I'm with a certain orange company and you go where they tell you. Hoping to get on a base transfer list soon though. :)
Because I commute home and my rosters pretty random. So I use it when I'm home to see the Mrs. Long story but commuting is basically a nightmare. Plus Europeans don't exactly look after their cars so got this cheap to abuse haha.
Hey dood!
Haha can't say I stuck around long. I sold my Z on to a mate and have a boring 118D at home now although it's doing about 20 miles a month at the moment.
Berlins a good laugh, just costing too much and need to buy a house etc lol. Trying to get back to brizzle!
How's things?
Well it's been a while since I've been on here but needed a run around for working in Berlin so what else could I possibly buy....
Found a very well looked after cup owned by a local guy for 7 years who's spent ££££ on new belts, gearbox, clutch, shocks and callipers as well as a ktec stealth...
