milteks have been known to crack, but they have a very good warrenty service and its no trouble getting a replacement. had my miltek nearly 3 years and its spot on, sits perfect and sounds great with a couple of little mods :)
miltek, std cat modified to 2.5" outlet, centre silencer removed.
and a couple of videos for you...
miltek's are not usually as loud as this. removing the centre silencer has made it more raspy but not boomy inside the car :) very happy with the system and it sits perfect imo...
60mm lower
clear side repeaters
alloys of some sort (whatever theme you are going for, euro, rep)
then the best way to style it is to replace parts with parts from the sport models so its like a rep. bumpers, spoiler, lights etc. going for halfords spoilers etc just looks terrible.
my 16" ultraleggeras are about 5.5kg each. standard 182 wheels are about 9kg each. i did notice a difference, the main one was how much cooler my brakes kept! google unsprung weight. it does make a difference.
2118's are not light but they are strong and 15" so cheaper rubber.
mine does it usually on the fisrt time of starting it for the day. exactly the same as you, pops and bangs at low revs then its fine after 1min. i sometimes get the odd bang on overrun when up to temp :)
should have removed it when it was on the car with it up to temp. got a vice and blowlamp? oh the joys of being a plumber :)
tried soaking it in wd40 and then getting any kind of heat on it?
t1-r's are fairly cheap and not too bad at all. but if you want cheap and long lasting go for falkens. not very grippy tyres tho, i wouldn't put them on my car.
i will have a fitting in the van (plumber) that will fit. i guess its only a half inch male cap you need, or something very similar. either order that one in earlier reply or get yourself to a plumbers merchants etc. i would seal it in with a bit of ptfe tape personally, should go in and come...
i hate decats. would never go back to one, bloddy horrible drony things on motorways etc. a much better option is keeping the cat in and removing the centre silencer. you get a raspy note with very little drone and you will still get through mot.
i think greeny used to have his wheels in ford graphite grey, could be wrong tho. different wheels to yours tho obviously.
and jesus had those wheels in anthracite iirc.
