cool, that should work. i did away with the joint on the back of the cat (as you can see in the pics) as it just tends to blow/leak. best to just cut the back end joint of the cat off and just weld the pipe straight on :) not my trend tho mate... christopher, dave and a few others were there...
price is in earlier post. as said i am good friends with the jabba family so i am lucky enough to get reduced rates. was £110 for matched inlets, painted inlets, center section removed and cat cut open to 2.5" all the way to the backbox's.
for a price on just the cat mod i would give jabba a...
thank you sir.
yeah, i have got them working on french cars now. lol. luke at jabba secretly loves french cars ;) imo they did a fantastic job and i couldn't recommend them enough! they would port/polish and paint your inlets no trouble mate.
i also struggle with this problem, or something similar. took the car to fred at btm and he checked over everything and stripped all of the suspension down and put it all back together. nothing was really 'that' wrong tho, the knocking fix washers had been fitted in the wrong place and after...
yeah, tiny washer jets might be really good actually. just go off the measurements i gave you, you should be albe to find something, and connecting the pipework should be easy.
get them in the bin then ;)
i think the black gromets i have will look fine on a blue car too. they are tiny, and the washer jets are bloody great black things anyway.
sorry mate, just noticed this post.
just measured the hole the washer jets leave and its 14mm. i have a gromet in there thats meant for 13mm holes and it works a treat. the outer diameter of the gromet i have is 20mm. you need to make sure the gromet you buy is at least 20mm overall diameter to...
well, thats the thing. i am good friends with luke at jabbasport and his family so i get good rates when i go there. so for matched inlets, painted inlets, cat modification to 2.5" bore and centre section removal/stainless steel welded, all for £110 :)
thanks :)
thanks dude. get it done...
here is a moving vid on a very empty country road near my house. the car was fully up to temp.
the vid doesn't quite do it justice, in the metal you can hear the induction noise and the raspy exhaust together, loving the sound
miltek, cat mod to 2.5", no silencer, std airbox, itg...
it wasn't fully up to temp but it is raspy anyway when its warm. going to upload a moving vid in a few mins so you can hear it. love how it pops when its cold! better than a decat anyday imo! fallen in love with the car again.
mid torque is definately improved from the matched inlets. so happy...
oh and by the way... far better with the centre section removed and the cat mod rather than a decat imo. no hassle with mot's or police. and you get just as good if not better noise than a decat gives you and its not boomy or too loud with normal driving but as soon as you plant your foot it...
halfords dan. thats where i got mine. just make sure you get domed ones so that they finish flush with the bumper :) its another weight saving for you too ;)
hi.
i was sick and tired of leaking headlight washers and with them spraying my car when it was clean! lol. so i plugged up the pipe going to them and removed the washer jets and fitted very cheap rubber gromets. looks great imo. and i have had no trouble at all with 2 mot's. get it done.
well as the miltek centre section sounded like the baffles had gone, myself and luke at jabbasport decided it would be the sensible option to cut it out and weld a straight pipe in its place. as it needed a little cutting and welding anyway i remembered reading D4ve's thread...
