lol! given it some thought and it will be too much hassle for me to have it pres. the back end of my cat is chopped to 2.5" bore, so i would need an adapter making up.
i dont think it worth the faff no. i think as you said, you are better off selling it and getting one thats made for the standard system. straight simple swap then with no real hassle as such. only swapping it back for mot.
btw, if you are selling the miltek one, pm me. i might be interested.
you will need to take it to a place that can cut a section of pipe out and put a couiple of new joins/clamps in. yes it can be done. it will work just the same as a decat thats a straight fit, infact its an advantage having a miltek one as you can use it if you upgrade to an aftermarket exhaust...
i dont think the miltek decat will fit a standard system either unless it comes with an adapter? i guess a reducer will need making up to get you onto the pipe after the v flange from the decat.
you need a decat like the one in the link below with a standard exhaust without...
just run no sidelights. dont do anything anyway. main lights or nothing then you haven't got the hassle of led's burning out fast and looking blue compared to the xenons.
also if you got up to speed then reset the trip, it would read out a lot higher. best to just go on the average mpg over a whole tank of fuel, not one journey. mine averages around 40mpg over a whole tank of fuel, mixed driving and speeds.
i think the simota's starve the engine of air, think the small cone filter that restricts it. but anyway, as its not a thread on filters... your best bet is to make a bigger heat shield to keep as much heat from the engine bay away from the filter as possible. remove the fog lights then run a...
yeah i think they are about 20mm. i just bought a few and tried different ones in the holes. i ended up with dome top ones too so it looks flush and smooth. black grommets will looj fine on any colour car imo, the washer jets are black anyway, and the r26r somes with black grommets just like mine.
spotted a b/g 182 with a cliosport sticker in the back window yesturday (saturday) at ikea milton keynes. you were parked pretty much straight behind me. the car looked really nice, standard but really tidy :)
nothing :)
just cut away all of the crap inside the hole where the fogs were. allows more air into the bay with acoustic valve removed too.
i think it suits black cars. oh and remove and plug up the the headlight washer jets for an extra stealth look too ;)
jms rs2 inlet.
kw coilovers.
yozza exhaust + decat.
brembo hc discs, ds2500 pads, braided lines, dot 5.1 fluid.
rear anti-roll bar.
remap.
lightweight wheels (ultraleggeras etc).
that would be a very fun car and still very reliable. its exactly what i would do if i had the money to.
oh sorry, misread that completely. yes, water temp is just over half way. no idea on engine temp tho. why are you wanting to know that impey? doing a bit of painting?
haha, nice one pres. i do like the way miltek's look. cheers mate.
adam- i have tried taking a pic of the area but i cant really catch it in a photo. it was a poor spray job tbh. looks like a small run in the paint with a kind of dull area around it where the clio badge was (and about the same...
no hassle to remove at all if you follw the guide on here. if you remove the frontg fogs too, you will get more air circulating its way to the airbox. remove the top airbox feed too.
