Front section, I think it's where there is a little lip in the plastic. I also believe there is a metal breacket behind that, so will need bending...

After Bedford track day my front right wheel has some scrubbing and left a hole in the liner lol. If I remove the liners, is it better to pop rivet some sheeting over the exposed engine bay area, or can the liner be cut in sections so that it misses the rubbing area and still stay intact? If I...

Will do nothing in the event of a heavy crash. Despite the proper padding being rock hard, they are designed to absorb heavy impact.
