So those Turinis are 17" are they? They look to suit the car perfectly (before it got lowered too much).

I imagine their target audience is new/young drivers who want to look 'cool' without the high insurance premiums.

An engine has been bought, delivered this week hopefully. JMS are picking the car up tomorrow. Things are moving :) Tom and James at JMS have been awesome so far.

I would need a Ph2 172 engine though, right? I'm near to finalising a deal on a 182 engine. It's expensive, but low mileage and comes with 3 month warranty, so I'm thinking I'll take the hit on the expense for that extra peace of mind.

I don't really understand, sorry. I don't know enough to be able to sort stuff like this out, I don't want to spend £500 on something only to find I don't have a replacement part for the actual bits which are broken. If that makes sense?

I'd prefer a 182 engine if possible, unless there is any reason why this makes no difference? I called the gumtree add earlier and it's sold already. I just called the first eBay link you mentioned, they've got a 182 engine coming in next week for £800+VAT, seems expensive.

This is me we're talking about though, I am the definition of 'bad luck'. Nothing ever goes right for me, so the chance of finding a cheap engine is non existent.
