Well he's a bit of a VW specialist but he does do anything. Had a scooby rally shell there a few years back fully caged and he was doing the whole inside in brilliant white, it looked like some kind of space age jungle gym.
Remeber I have got 12 years of VW ownership history.
And Fred I still...
Correy just read your thread from start to finish and I have to say impressive stuff. After you fit the ITB's what are you doing with the inlets and cams? (I may be interested). I wish you all the best with the new setup and the car looks great. I'll be following your thread with interest.
Re: James/BigAsh 182 Race Car by TDF... It doesn't get much better than this! *Pic He
If I can get a deal I'd do both James but I've never done Spa and thats a real dream so might just do that. If needs be I'll pack a tent but as said I'd need to get a co pilot as I can't justify that expense...
I checked mine and its ally. Have to say guys I have been looking at the polly windows, there is alot of stuff that can be chopped out of the car but there bust be an easy 20kg saving with the windows and alot more when I get lighter front seats.

Whats the crack with accomodation for the ring trip guys? I'm interested in doing this if I can find someone to half the bill, last time I went I ended up driving some 1800 miles and then doing the ring on the...
Love Flame red, first drove one 11 years ago which was a PH1 and thats why I bought my flame one now. Love the colour, looks great in the sun and if I can get my bodyshop to mop the whole car sometime and really bring it up it'll look even better.
Can anyone tell me what size the front tow eye is for me to be able to get a bolt for the towing eye that i have bought. Did a search but can't find an answer. Also do you know the best place to get the bolt from? Thanks Andy.
'Euro look' should be reserved for VW's and even then there are limits. TBH silly cambers like that just make the car look like its suspension has collapsed.
Mine is a track toy, bought it cheap in November and as I have a company car and the wife has a car it gets driven on my day off and occasionally to wpork at weekends to keep it ticking over but its main purpose is to be used on track. Just stripped all the rear out an painted it last week so it...
Thanks Dan and Mr Giraffe for the sound advice. I have rushed out and bought a set of ditch finder Nankangs and the rest on tuition.
Not really :rasp:
I just bought the RSR's, having considered it and weighed up the options for one day a month the RSR's will do the job and if they...
Hi Guys,
I am at a bit of a dilema. I have just bought some wheels for track use and I am after some tyres. I currently run a mix of Uniroyal rainsport on the front and PE2's on the rear. However after my last trip to Donington the outer edge of my tyres took a real battering so I am looking...

Well done on the test James your now a proper race car driver. I wasn't able to book Brands in the end due to the cost of buying new tyres and getting my wheels powder coated this month it was just too much...
I need a hand with a decision. I have a PH1 which is semi stripped out (to be used as a track day toy) and has a Ktec stealth exhaust fitted so its fairly loud in the car. Not long ago I bought a PH1 flocked dash of Phil (shiftspark) but there is no pod for the clock to sit. This means If I ever...
A reg Polo still on the road. Was a 'bread van' and served me well. The guy I sold it to works at Rolls Royce in Coventry and still owns it according to HPI.
