Ideally need medium/hard on the front and soft on the rear of a Clio.
They take an age to warm up as well as @JB21 says. This time of year probably 2-3 laps at pace on top of a couple of laps to even warm them up so you don't cold grain them.
Check the earth wires behind the carpet/plastic trim as well.
The black rubber grommets either side of the tail lights can leak water and it runs down inside right onto the earth points 🤦♂️
Have you tried Carbone Lorraine RC8?
A mate used them on his Megane with slicks and was able to lock the fronts, only just though.
Just so much grip on big slicks when hot.
You might notice a bit more pad wear running slicks, because you are able to use all of the pad's ability.
Therefore more heat will be generated, so you need your cooling on point.
Carbon Collective - Sateen
Dries nice and quick on tyres, no sling.
Gyeon Tire is alright as well, but don't put too much on otherwise it slings, but not as bad as Megs Endurance.
A050 are in the same class as DZ03G (1C)
AR1 are the class below (1B)
Usually a good indicator of what tyres are better than others in terms of dry laptimes.
