whoops... when my front end goes i back off power but only a tad, back end never comes around. Its only when you lift rite off that the back comes around.
can you two get a room ;).......whilst i ask a stupid question? how do you take the battery out! i looked and cant see anythin holding it down even thought it wont budge! :D
Yep i cant stress enough to anyone to do your cambelt, mines an 03 and done 33k when the cambelt tensioner broke on it! i was very very very lucky it didnt snap the belt!!!! it was close as it was ruibbing against the casing.. All replaced now inc the aux belt for around 350 sheets... a lot...
i had a car fixed up at a bodyshop in a shady industral estate opposite the airport, my old mans mate has a garage up in horsforth and sends all his cars there. Ill try get its number for you mate. did a crackin job for me.
I know mate its weird, you may think it is but the car might think otherwise, mine's pretty random!
I've done 20minuts drive and hit the first limit, then did 5 mintues and could take to over 7k... its french
The limiter is in 3 stages depending if up to temperature or not... 6700, 7000, 7250.
So i would imagine the shift light may come on a few rpms before that so you dont hit it.
While looking at the vids, check that F40 vs Veryon its pretty good.. specially when he exits the junctionin the F40 with an armful of opposite lock :D

Mine makes this noise too but just make sure its not your cambelt tensioner on the way out, mine snapped but with a lot of luck the belt stayed together! My advise would be to presume nothing...
It still makes a tappety noise though and since ive used an additive in the oil it has got alot...
