Had mine replaced today as part of a belt change. I know its extra expense but decided it was worth replacing for peace of mind and because having to replace it seperately would be a massive pain. Car is on 73k now and the original had very slight play in it.
I paid £1300 for my X plate one on 70k. The guy had owned it for 10 years and was all original apart from Koni suspension. Not perfect, couple of scratches as you would expect and it needed a belt change. Yours should easily sell for that much, especially if you have evidence of the belt change.
+1 on the Alpine BT units. I had one in my Golf and before that had a none BT Alpine unit and both were superb. Great quality on the units and great sound too
