I've only just paid up for it myself, but I'd say so. Seems quite a lot of mods and add ons in development, and a big community around it. Loads of people in the online area.
Doesn't quite have the quality feel of something like GTR / GTL but the driving physics are very good. A proper...
Yep a PC sim. It's a download type one really, but you can order a CD to be sent to you if you prefer.

Anyone downloaded the Eurocup Megane Trophy 2005 mod for the driving sim rFactor?
Hadn't really played the game much before, but this is a pretty sweet add-on.
Some screenshots:
Its a thermistor I think, used to measure the interior temperature for controlling the climate control.
Some cars have the blue nipple, others like the 172's have a small fan hidden behind the plastic of the interior light panel. People used to moan that the fans made an annoying buzzing...
Unfortunately this one is more expensive because of its development costs to use the CANBUS system in 05 > cars.
They supposedly retail from InCarTec at £99 :(

You sure its this model you bought The Big Yin? If so where from? :D
Agreed. I have no intention of selling the Trophy and getting a 197 at all at the moment, but stick that spoiler on and sell one in white with white wheels and i'll be down to Renault placing an order in the morning :approve:
Simpkins seem a very decent bunch of guys to me. Not really had any major work done there, just ordered some parts, but i'd definitely go there if I need to visit a renault franchise (warranty work etc). They've been in the area for years, not heared a bad word about them.
Otherwise i'd...
The whole host has been down all day unfortunately, its not specific to ClioTrophy, other people who i know have sites hosted at the same datacenter are down too :(
I'll let you know when it's back
I've only run the Goodyear F1's on my track wheels, but in comparison with the PE2's on the same day i'd say they were pretty much equally as good for dry grip, although the PE2's make more noise.
On a wet trackday the F1's although still excellent fell short of the grip the PE2's offer. I...
I wouldn't rule it out necessarily, the brake pads could quite easily have been reaching 600C + so the calipers would probably be hotter than anything in your engine bay should be i'd have thought.
The silver hammerite smooth i painted my 172 calipers with were fine day to day, but the heat generated in the brakes on trackdays made the silver turn a bluey gold colour. Wasn't really a problem, i just painted over them again.
Nah, i'm sure they are fine Oms. I just work for the people that used to make the Deskstar drives before they sold the business to Hitachi, and there were a few notorious models. No reason to swap it, was just joking when you said it had been sat there for hours ticking away.
Yep that was me, I did half wave whilst trying not to crash into the car in front :P
Used to pass you quite often on the way home, but dont tend to go that way much now.
Funny how you can go months without anyone spotting you, then I get spotted twice on a 10 minute drive home from work.
