I'm fitting my 4th set of brake pads to the Trophy tonight, done 14k miles. 7 Track days / evenings + 3 airfield days and a ring trip in there though.
12k seems a bit early but if you've done a few track days i guess its probably about right
I average about 15mpg on track. I'd say you'd probably be safe to assume you'll use about half a tank, depends how much time you are out there for during the hour really. Mine went down very fast last year though, thought i was going to have to stop early, but then it recovered and lasted the...
it comes on with about 4 litres left I think.
Top Tip: If you go into the diagnostic check mode (hold trip computer stalk button in when turning on ignition) and then press the stalk button again it tells you on the display how many litres are left in the tank.
Yep, theres no other choice if you live in Hampshire and own a Renault in my opinion :D Hell you dont even need to live in hampshire, Mike has people from Wales and beyond going to him for work.
Agreed, the interior of the car is a big improvement, feels far better built than the mk2. Seats are excellent, would find it hard to justify money for a recaro option with them. Still not totally attracted to the exterior, but its growing on me slowly. It does make the mk2 look dated though...
Bird crap is evil stuff. I sometimes can't avoid it where i park at work and my cars paint is constanly getting minor etching from it even though i remove it as soon as i get home. It's actually the reason i bought a PC, to sort out some bird crap damage.
Here's an example of the damage to...
Cheers :). The camera is mounted in the front grill, on the drivers side. Its shielded from the heat of the radiator at that point and theres a useful hole to feed the wires back into the car.
Believe me we really did! The Trophy was a bit more tricky, but with some excellent guidance from the others I managed to steer it through without grounding it out
Managed to record a lap of the ring on my bullet cam at the weekend. The camera was only on the car for the one lap then it rained, so i'm glad it came out ok.
BTG time is about 9m30 i think. I got held up a couple of times, once really badly on the fast uphill section, so I'd have been able...
Well after 1430 miles in 5 days, burning 52 gallons of fuel! 15 laps of the ring, countless Bitburgers, and more than a lifetimes supply of Currywurst mit Pommes..... I'm finally home.
Big thanks to everyone else on the trip, it was superb, and especially Jon for the organising of it.
These...
Weather hasnt really been a problem to be honest, it's just so changable up at the ring. Its been cold and snow showers today mixed with bouts of warm sunshine! Very odd. Didn't really affect laps though, the track was open all day and the surface was pretty much dry throughout, bar the first...
