more refined?? in what way?
the seats arent as comfy, the driving position isnt as good, slower, both have no air con no abs etc, the cup is very basic really, probably the best 172 version, but by no means more refined than a williams.
tbh mate. id stick with the williams and maybe get...

hm... i spose i could raid my sons toybox and glue all the plastic bits to the car, pull the engine out, fit a hamster wheel, get some 20s and i reckon 4x 8 inch zorsts shud do it.

aye , can see what your saying. i spose id fall under that category, a bit longer than 10 mins, but not quite a full day. lol. still wasnt as impressed by it as the r26 tho.
same can be said for pretty much any car tho tbh fred.
altho having said that...was a whole 10 mins after purchase of the williams that i 1st hit the limiter............in 5th ;)
personally, id get a box from reno. the willy box is only £600, iv had recon boxes before, £400s worth...lasted about 9 months, whereas the 2nd hand boxes iv had for a fraction of the cost have usually lasted slightly longer.
cambelt can be done in situ in a couple of hours, no real biggy...
my worst so far is mine to northys and back on £30
thats about 70 miles round trip. prob a bit less
tbh i dont see much difference in economy whether on track or road lol.
if your into off roading, get rid of the sj, hardly owts a challenge for their light weight, according to my mate whos done a lot in his landys. he also has a jacked sj, but says its no fun cos he never gets stuck in it like he does in his landys, same tracks/trials. lol.
i dont know mate. the seats in the willy are miles better than the 17/82s.
driving position is better imo

well a cheap fast car aint going to be had new for sub 7k. i think we all agree on that 1 lol.
for the gas guzzlin v8s, nowt wrong with a gas conversion, would still have plenty enough left over from the original 7k to install it. would be a lot cheaper to run then too. and jus knock the...
lol...dont know where you get ur prices from...but these things can be done a hell of a lot cheaper if you dont take it to somewhere thats gunna relieve you of best part of 15k for cuttin a bit of metal and welding a bit more in...
