Find a place that'll do it for £50? best quote i got for bonnet respray is £100, some were even more. Dont have that sort of money just laying around for that unfortunatly.
Hey everyone,
so as title says, im going to be carbon wrapping my bonnet tomorrow or friday. Before people start hating on the idea, bonnet is in black primer atm and has faded to an almost brown colour and looks terrible.. so decided on wrapping it as a cheaper alternative to getting it...
I thought as much, that's why I couldn't believe an 18 year old insuring a 1.6 modded up to the eyeballs! I'm struggling to insure my 1.2 and that's not with all the mods declared yet! And I'm 19. It is all in my own name and policy though
Just out of interest, after declaring the mods and with your age... what are you paying on insurance? And what company are you with? because im paying sh*tloads for mine and ive only told them about the coilovers, havnt even mentioned the wheels yet! PS, im 19, so barely older then you
Same. Mines around the 80mm mark too and I dont have any issues with it. Mine was 60 in the past but it just looked too high still with 15's on :/ happy with it at 80 now though :) I wouldn't reccomend anything less tbh.
If this meet isn't too far from Guildford il come along :) havnt been to a meet in a fair while now and would love to get some opinions on the new mods on my car! Could you PM me once you have set it up? :)
Oh really? That's weird haha. Girlfriend lives in whitstable, have been to margate a few times but don't think much of it tbh. Il keep an eye out for you anyway when I'm around the area :)
Just saw you 10 mins ago going onto the A3. Lovely looking car, tried to keep up but failed miserably haha :( swear I saw the sticker so must be on here!
Well it isnt noticeable unless you get on the floor and go to the level it's at.. But if the car ever goes standard height again you'd see it. Don't want it done professionally as its a first car and there's little marks all over it. So it's definatley not a good idea to touch it in no?
So, just reversed my car into the massive step outside my work and taken a load of paint off of the rear drivers side corner of the bumper (just behind wheel) and its pissed me off majorly even though it is barely noticeable! Is it as simple as to just buy some touch up paint from halfords and...
My alloys are wolfrace, look great, lighter then my standard dynamique alloys and were cheap. In great condition too. Nothing wrong with wolfrace, although I do agree that ALOT of the alloys they design are proper ugly.
'No mate its a really expensive make but can't think what of the top of my head it's a tubular ceramic clouted one with external wastgate' <- that's the manifold. No idea haha, looks good though :p
Yeah they are very good turbos. Think my mate Said he's going to have it running 380, bit worried about having it any more then that on standard internals or something. He's got another car for speed anyway which he's currently building ;) a Nissan 200sx, s14 which he's putting a skyline rb25DET...
Thorney Motorsport. Its off the road atm, hes got some new manifold for it recently which he's fitting at the same time as a garret gt28 turbo and an LSD. Got a few plans for it :p recently put a full nurburgring interior in it too from a crashed one, immaculate interior. Very nice too :)
Not trying to have a dig here, and don't get me wrong that's a lovely looking car, but what happens when you get a real clio sport pull up next to you or behind you? Don't you feel a bit... Silly? Should keep 1.2 badges on It and take off 'sport ' IMO. That way it doesn't look like its trying to...
Welcome to the forum :) absolutely love the vxr range! My mate has a stage 3 Astra vxr in a gun metal Grey colour? Don't know the name of it but it's a pretty rare colour as far as I know, absolutely amazing car. Running around 320bhp and has so much torque. Absolute animal of a car. Driven it a...
They aren't unfortunately. Are wolfrace, I think?! There is 1 set the same on eBay listed as wolfrace but I can't find them on any website (as I'm kinda after some centre caps) so I'm just going with wolfrace lol. Look so good on the car, really suit it! Had nothing but compliments so far about them
Nice, good price too :) is a few bargains about ATM. I brought these last week for £130! All spotless and the tyres are as good as new. Absolute bargain. And collected them 6 miles from my house!
I'd definatley get a set of 15's. Not a fan of big wheels on small cars, thats why I stuck with 15's on mine :P sounds silly too but feels quite nippy for a 1.2 with smaller wheels. Love it :) getting some good pictures of mine this weekend, il send you one on here ;)
What size wheels are they? Mines quite a lot lower tbh by the looks of it :o mines about 80mm and won't physically go lower unless I roll arches too. Saying that it is on 15's with low profile tyres so it's proper slammed on them ;)
