It's a 172. Is it just reccomended though? Or is it essential?

Viewed a car last night and all was good apart from the cambelt I'm a little confused about. The cambelt itself has only done £14k miles! But has been on the car for 5 years. Does this really need changing? Thanks Ollie

That looks superb. I'm looking at a 172 tonight and was reading up on the cooksports and they sound really good! Is it hard to fit the cup shocks or are they a straight swap?

Cam belt was done at 76k / 1 year ago. It's now on 81k. Is there nothing else to look out for? It's had quite a few mods done to it by k-tec, looks like its all been done properly though. Has FSH. Going to look at it Saturday I think

Any luck with a 182 ATM? I've now decided I'm going to get a 172 cup. I almost prefer the look, and much prefer the standard wheels they come with! And the cloth seats don't bother me as such as I may have 2 recaro bucket seats ready to put straight in ;)

This. With modding my one the RS grill was one of the last things I done (even though its probably the cheapest and makes a big difference!) Also if you do get one, spray it satin black before putting it on ;) makes it look much better IMO.

Silver 172 cup parked opposite me, LX02 AYM, and blue 182 with turinis to the right of me! RN04 JGV. Anyone on here? Silver one has CS tax disk. Ollie

This. I had the exact same issue and cleaned out my throttle body and since then it's started and ran spot on in all weather! Strongly suggest doing this. I found it easy to do and I'm no mechanic! Ollie

My 1.2 was doing this lately and I cleaned out the throttle body and now it starts and runs like a dream. Might be worth doing? Cleaned it out using carb cleaner. Goodluck!
