Is that it?! I've always loved these wheels and not many people fit these instead of turinis and other wheels. May have to keep an eye out for a set when I've got some money behind me again! :)
What's the best way of checking if my mounts are on their way out / completely shot? Can you physically check them? What signs should I look for?
Thanks in advance!
Ollie
On my old 1.2 I put on some 60mm springs and the shocks lasted about a month. Soon upgraded to coilovers lol. I wouldn't recommend it from my personal experience
I desperately need to do this to mine ASAP. Is there a guide for doing this? Or is it a simple job to do? Never done it before!
Looks so much better then without a splitter :)
Well ultimately I am happy with the price I've paid. There were cheaper around but they were all silver and I fancied something a little out of the ordinary with the Low miles and stuff to back it up. Love the colour of it!
Erm. It has climate control, air con, the 'renaultsport' kick plate things on the bottom of the door frame. Uprated suspension and gearbox from factory too I saw somewhere. It was a demonstration car, says it on the renault receipt so it does back up what the seller said. No idea what else extra...
Just looked into the old cambelt reciept and it was actually done at the very end of 2008, so it's not actually due until end of this year which I'm pretty chuffed about! Only thing I do want to check is all of the mounts on this car so where do I find them? Engine and gearbox mounts and any...
And thankyou to everyone with the kind comments :) before I brought a sport I had all these plans in my mind of things I'd do.... But now I have one I can say I don't think il be doing anything for a long time. I'm happy with everything! Just little cosmetic bits like a splitter and spraying of...
They are standard bulbs I believe yeah. Don't think il be camping as il be coming down with the girlfriend and il have a mate following in his non sport, but either way I'm there 100%! :)
I'm over the moon! Great car :) I will miss it tbh the 1.2. It's been alot of fun. Only saving grace I suppose Is the fact il be seeing the sport in its space which is what I've always wanted! Yeah the xenons are so nice. I actually had somebody flash me earlier :S must be bright!
And your new...
Yeah it is! Only bit of bodywork damage that needs sorting is a hairline crack in the front bumper, which il get done eventually but it isn't essential! Other then that, it's all pretty much spotless
I won't :) I'm a little poor ATM anyway due to paying the insurance additional fee and buying the car so il be driving safe to save fuel! Just want to get a skoda splitter for it and spray the grill satin black and it'll be proper tidy I think :)
So this is the end of the project thread. I've now upgraded to a flame red 172! 57k miles, F/S/H, 1 owner from new with all the optional extras. Pretty much immaculate on the outside, and spotless on the inside! Got 2 quick pictures this morning but its in dire need of a wash. Anyway, this is...
Disks have a slight lip, but are fine for a little while yet! Clutch is all good, full service history which I did have a scan through, standard exhaust..... Didn't actually check that. Sounded all okay though when was running. Tyres are really good actually apart from 1 which may need changing...
How much does somebody charge for a cambelt change? Somebody who is trusted on here. And how much would spraying a front bumper cost roughly? I do really like the car and colour!
The car itself has done 57k miles, as I say belts done at 44k, 5 years ago. He wants £2100 for it (lowest he'll go) , its flame red and immaculate inside and out - minus the front bumper. Has a crack in it -.- f/s/h. Completely standard and has all the optional extras. Good deal or not?
