maybe I'm just getting old but I cant think of anything worse than daily driving a mk2 Clio. I daily drove a mk3 for a year at the time about 40 miles a day and it was spot on, night and day over my mk2's
MK4 was the best daily I've had but over budget and no manual as you say
very vague description so it could be 1 million things but ill take a stab in the dark at the most common and say its a fucked injector or 2 or 3 or 4 and that's why its not starting as the rail isn't seeing enough pressure to fire. chances are if an injector or 2 is on the way out the pump...
usually will present its self shifting to 3rd and 4th first, change into 3rd at 7400rpm or what ever the beep is it and you will feel it crunch if its on its way out
Done it online on their website this was before the days of price comparison sites, I was £3000 a year the first year then my 2nd year it halfed and pretty much continued to half, I now insure them for £180 a year 😎
agree, but you always hit that peak where it peaks then starts to go down hill, just shows if well serviced that's probably not until at least after 150-170k!

While there will always be variances in RR's, running on the same rollers at the same place is as close as your going to get to keeping it accurate and getting to measure your results of your work! Looks like a strong engine that one, good given the miles just shows that...
I went down the PMS kit to remove my AC/PAS and relocate alternator, looks a nice piece of kit and the belt setup is so simple with plenty room and weight saved
