LOL Sam.
I broked it. All my own fault, involving 2 kerbs on some private land. What's done is done.
So anyway, the death toll so far is...
2 x Desmond Regamasters in 17x9 ET38 (I need some!)
2x Rear Lower Arms
2 x Outer Toe Arms
A lot of CV grease
Rest seems to have held up to the smash at...
But, you don't HAVE to have a dump valve on a turbocharged engine. Most from factory are just recirculated to the turbo inlet, thus eliminating that noise. So that makes that point null and void.
LOL at your turbo bashing. I have no problem with superchargers personally, but I do love turbos.
Superchargers may give better "instant" response, but they do this at expense of robbing power from the crankshaft. A turbo already in it's powerband but off boost gives pretty much instant throttle...
So explain how a supercharger isn't cheating, but a turbocharger is cheating? You take your typical vtec lump. Bang a supercharger on it and that's fine, but bang a turbo on it, and it's not? WTF!
You have 400+bhp to stop though, track or no track ;). Thing is, with pads like that you end up with discs being consumed quicker than the pads. Been there with the ZR.
You can have all the revs and cylinders in the world, but you're still going to get more power if you put a turbo on there alongside those revs ;)
Not far off 10K rpm
I'm tough on brakes Malice, and it will be getting a bit of tracktime. They're only the "fast road" spec pad, not the more track biased pads. I'd of thought DS2500s were more track biased.
Thanks Chris. Seen another set in Ireland that I'd like for spare, just need pennies!
Well, I have R33 GTS-T Front Calipers, braided hoses, R33 GTS-T rear calipers, handbrake mechs and hub arm thingys (where the control arms & bearings go) sat in the garage waiting ATM. They need a rebuild, and I'll convert the skyline hub arm things to non-HICAS and polybush them.
However, I...
I suppose I could, but then I'd have no life bar going to work and then laying on the drive. Wish I could work on it in the bloody garage too, stupid long car!
Was meant to sort it this weekend, got pissed Friday night and thought f**k it instead. Spacers are way down the list, really want the s**tty standard brakes off. Thing is, the ABS is playing up. To delete that it's even more s**t I need to buy, on top of all the stuff I want braking wise.
My coilovers are adjusted like that, as are most coilies for Jap stuff. You can still do it the euro way if you want though, and lose the spring preload.
