i'm off to antarctica in 5 weeks and need to decide on what equipment i'm going to take.
As its going to involve wildlife i think i need something longer than what i have.
I have a 70-200F4 L canon on a 7D.
So i was thinking about hiring a 1.4x tc, or hiring a 28-300 F3.5-5.6 IS L instead...
Windows 7 is so much better than xp, people who don't like change are blind to this fact, vista was dodgy, but windows 7 is great.
I think I even prefer 7 to lion, but that's because I am more experienced with it and don't know lion well enough, that will come with time.
But xp is getting on...
Yes but it hasn't fixed my speed issues unfortunately.
A few others at work have the same issue, I'm hoping an update will fix it. Although someone offered my £300 for the 4 yesterday so I might just get a 4s anyway.
Just glad I've solved the battery problem. No idea whats happenings with...
My phone is still sluggish on ios5, mainly going into menus like settings, takes a few seconds the first time after it being locked.
But I've solved my battery issues. I did all the things on that link and it hardly made any difference. Phone was still dying mid evening, even with very...
Your he insurance is crap then, mine covers up to £5000 of personal possessions while outside the house, so anywhere in the world with me, and I don't have to list individual items beforehand.
I was paying camera insurance for a couple of years, but it was so expensive I don't now, to get the right cover it's not at all cheap.
Silly things, like you need to have it in a proper camera bag or its not covered etc. you do have to watch the conditions.
I only did it because I had a...
my iPhone has been running very slow with menus and apps taking ages to open, even the camera and the texts areas etc.
i've just done most of the things on that list, i didn't do a restore. But since changing those settings my iPhone is now lightning fast!
Its made such a difference, so id...
if munson isn't seeing an issue, then there isn't an issue........
anyway, for us mere mortals, there does seem to be a lot of people noticing the same and apparently its only noticeable in the general release, and wasn't present in the beta, hopefully there will be a fix soon, but in the meant...
mines gone quickly downhill, as well as the speed of the phone, menus seem to take a few seconds to open now.
the battery thing is all this location and push stuff going on for the message centre etc. so much data happening now, i can see people hitting their data limits very soon too.
even...
blackberry didn't do the cloud any favours last week, shows how vulnerable you are when someone else is looking after your s**t, and that DC was in the UK.....
Make sure you aren't looking at your iCloud notes, which will be empty, top left is a link to choose which ones you look at, and with iCloud there is a separate section for them!
Safari on the iPad is a massive improvement, a lot smoother, going back a page is a lot faster too, it doesn't just reload the previous page, it seems to cache it.
Prefer the tabs too
It'll take 3 mins to download a file suitable for viewing on the iPad, and a hell of a lot longer to convert anything, re-download them in a suitable format :)
This sounds like an issue that only someone who queued up for hours and hours to be the first person in the queue for a new halo game and videoed it and then posted it on the Internet could have.
100,000 is a stupidly high amount of texts, how would you even find the text you were looking for...
no, the IT analysts and research people.
which is ironic as Alan works for the company who would be able to best answer his question in the original post.
Alan, can't you look at the storage papers you guys produce, they will tell you exactly where emc are positioned, and where they sit as...
hmmm, we sell a lot of it, i personally don't deal with them as i am hp and netapp, i did do some emc courses once but i hated the fact they were running a systems engineer course and we only saw powerpoint sides for a week.
their office is on the A4 just off the flyover from memory.
they...
i only paid £600+ for a 4 five months ago as i couldn't wait for the 4s/5 to come out. it owes me a few more months yet, so unless the slowness gets to me with the 4 i'll hold off for now, the only thing I'm interested in is siri, and i'm still dubious as to how good/useful it is after the...
it does.....
you can add apps to it in the notifications section in iPhone settings, I've added email, twitter and Facebook to mine.
incidently, my iPhone 4 is noticeably slower since upgrading to 5, even accessing the settings menu takes 3-4 seconds to come up.
There's another version been released tonight I think, I was using the new version and it's just got me to download another with today's date.
When I removed the old one earlier, my phone froze and I had to reset it with home and off button.
Someone else I know has a phone stuck in recovery...
Problem is, you can't use quick focus, it defaults to live view focus while shooting which is dog slow and goes searching before it focus's, it really is terrible.
Vids on YouTube confirm it's the same as the other cameras, like the 60d and the 7d.
So you've used the autofocus while shooting video on it?
It's the same as the 7d which I have and it's terrible, takes ages, makes loads of noise, it just has to be manual focus at the moment.
I'm just going to load some parameters........call me a cynic, but different parameters for each photo, it's as if it was set up to do that.......
I'd like to see an audience member give him a photo from their phone and do it!
