At the end of the day, it's my car, I'm in a bad mood today and I read all that s**t about how bent I apparently am from Malice. Just give me a chance to 1) Actually get money to continue modding it and 2) Make my own bloody mind up without trying to pull me in every which way CS wants my car to...
At least with ET20 you're bolting straight onto the hub face, not bolting onto a face that you've bolted to the hub face. I aren't a massive fan of spacers, ran some on the rear of the ZR for 10 minutes, they made the bearing rumbling noise of failure so I slung them straight away and all was...
Still going to be s**tting bearings left right and centre, hubcentrics or not. Need to lower it first before I decide how far out they need to go.
Chris, Man up and buy something Jap anyway! Girl.
Not really a big fan of spacers so the smaller the better. Don't want them poking right out anyway, it's fine on the smooth US tarmac, no good on out pot hole ridden s**t. As long as it's flush with a bit of camber they'll be fine.
The Regamasters, have the right stamping etc so they are genuine.
Front strut clearance (17x8 ET35)
And caliper clearance, tight as a duck's anus TBH...
How the front sits...
And the rear (17x9 ET38)
Better pictures when I get my DSLR back from Soph. Need to refurb them, and probably...
I think the WMIC may be starting to crack tbh. It pops and bangs when you blip down the gears, on overrun and sometimes does it on gearchanges.
The plugs look rich to me, being used to N/A I suppose they will do.
I'll drive it steady and get it RR'd to see what the A/F mixture is like before I turn the boost up just to be on the safe side.
It's OK, there's 2 of us, as my mate is driving me down (DERV). Filling his car up once is cheaper than filling mine up twice!
Well I just looked, the fuel was over it, but it looked small and silver rather than the bronzey colour of the OEM pump, and the wiring has been chopped & crimped together.
All I took off was the metal panel, you've then got to unplug the wiring and fuel lines, and remove that white plastic cover from the tank. I don't think it isn't important, but seeing as I haven't been revving it much higher than 4K, and how rich it seems to be running, I doubt it'll be dying...
Finally, a chance to give it a bit of a service.
Plugs, fuel filter, air filter, oil filter and oil done today. Will do the rad/coolant on my next weekend off in a fortnight, as I'm off to collect some 17" Regamasters from Bristol tomorrow.
Old vs New Plugs - Old plugs are black as hell...
I was on about the Gearbox problems, which have been around since day one. Therefore, old news dude.
The engine's blowing up is something I hadn't heard of until now though.
Didn't realise you couldn't see the if the pump had been changed just by removing the cover in the boot, got wet for nothing. There is a load of leccy tape on the wiring in the boot to the pump though.
Standard wheels look s**t though! Externally it will stay fairly standard, not going to be buying bodykits lol.
Do people just not read this thread, it's meant to have a bloody Walbro 255 fuel pump, it's just something I need to double check for piece of mind. It's not been getting much above...
I still daren't throw it around and boot it. Only had to take the clutch advice once, was the only time I was too over exuberant. Probably barely steps out to look from behind, but feels like it's miles out when you're driving!
