I had mine done recently and swapped to the Motul stuff people were recommending but I'm not a fan, as you say it's a bit notchy when cold, something it didn't do before I swapped it.
Problem is I don't know what was in when I bought it!
You've actually done what I've had in my head for a while! I think they're a great looking motor! We have a little one on the way in August and I'm not sure if I'll be keeping the Megane yet or swapping the wife's car.
Holy thread revival!
I noticed this in the Megane the other day - on steep up-hills even in 1st the car will still move backwards - it will rotate the engine (but only just) - it's like the car is 'just to heavy to hold itself.
It's really irritating as I worry if the handbrake fails the car...
Yup like that - good man maths to to be honest - it's got all the bits on it that aren't exactly hard to shift quickly!
I'd be tempted to sell it as a standard 172 in the end rather than break it - is it me or is black not a popular breakers colour?
Just disable it somehow for a while until you can swap the locks over - fit a hidden switch like my mate did to his - I never found it and I thought I'd looked everywhere!
Good man, I read your 'issues' it's a shame your lass was with you really (my wife is pregnant so I can understand why you just paid and bailed!).
To be honest I've seen MUCH worse, and you seem to know what you're doing ;)
Oh yeah don't paint these alloys white like your black 172! :dead:
I have to agree sadly, to me the Trophy was on the cusp of being different enough to be special but if you take away the seats (which aren't rare or special) and the suspension (which is quirky) it's no different to anything else.
I think they did better with .R vs the R26 but as much as I...
I hate the fact they didn't make it better at resisting rust - I truly do, I miss mine soooo much! And mine at the end was still one of the best ones I'd seen.
I can't see me getting one again as I've not seen one again that I think is worthy of my money.
Makes me sad! :(
I really want to clean the leather seats in the Megane, the drivers seat is has a lovely (not) shine to it now and the steering wheel needs a good clean.
Having never cleaned leather before (properly) I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction - I keep seeing the 50/50 shots of...
Ahh - I worded that wrong :o
I'm just surprised they agreed I guess, I thought you must have some compromising pictures of some of the senior management :p
