Well apparently n-AI lenses will damage any modern Nikon DSLR bar the D40, so it's not just the D60 that's limited in that sense. And thanks, manual focus, no metering, just sheer guesswork really!

Depends on what journeys you do. If you do lots of short journeys, the battery might not charge up well, and eventually go flat as starting a car drains a lot of power from it. Mine's just a weekend thing, so it'll be plugged in most times I reckon.

Lol, 35mm & 50mm are focal lengths fella. From what I can gather, On a crop sensor like we have (the sensor is smaller than one slide of film, therefore cropped) 35mm lenses on a crop sensor give the closest effect to 50mm on film.

And it's full manual like mine too. I might have to invest in a 35 f1.8 AF-S TBH.

Fair enough! I've bought one of those optomisers Burp linked now, not that I've got round to sorting fitting the battery mind. But at least it will be charged by the time I pull my finger out!

I've got an MF 50 (well it's from the 60s, so no metering), and it's really hard to get a spot on focus manually on my camera.
