Not torquing them to spec sounds like a workaround for something that isn't designed properly ?
No problems or extra vibration when fitting a powerflex dogbone and torqued to 60Nm.
That would be true if it was an N/A engine to start with.
Practically the same engine, just vastly improved internals. Gearbox mounting i'm not so sure.
Depends which Megane engine it is.
The Mk2 225/R26 engines are starting to crack ring lands on the pistons now with age. (refer to @dann2707 ?)
The Mk3 250/265/275 engine is much stronger.
