    No chance it's 100db on a resonated system. Mine is decatted and non resonated and it's 98db at 3/4 maximum rev on static test.

    Not torquing them to spec sounds like a workaround for something that isn't designed properly ? No problems or extra vibration when fitting a powerflex dogbone and torqued to 60Nm.

    Yeah there's no proper diff in the Clio, just an E-Diff which is just braking the wheels as you say.

    That would be true if it was an N/A engine to start with. Practically the same engine, just vastly improved internals. Gearbox mounting i'm not so sure.

    Depends which Megane engine it is. The Mk2 225/R26 engines are starting to crack ring lands on the pistons now with age. (refer to @dann2707 ?) The Mk3 250/265/275 engine is much stronger.

    I've driven both on track for about 20 mins. Megane is better.

    I'd say an earth somewhere, possibly even the gearbox earth strap in the passenger side arch.
