Update time, I managed to get the boot to lock now which is good news. Waiting for the insurance company to get back to me regarding a hire car etc..
And here's a few pics I got of the boot floor damage.
I'm incline to agree if possible at the minute. Case of do bare minimum and run it as a shed or chuck good money at it and sort the rest of the niggles with it to make it mint again. Mechanically it's sound.
No disrespect but probably better starting your own thread for that one?
Already insurance from the off. AA recovery said they'd be claiming their costs back for the trip home. That and it was a fair old whack that I got, my head twatted the headrest quite hard. I'm starting to think he might have been reving his engine for me to do the same, majorly failed at it and...
I need to give my bike a good look over tomorrow. Was 500 yards away from LUBP when it happened lol. It got pushed into the front seat so hopefully that gave it enough room to just move...
Wouldn't like to say really. Sure I'll get change out of the 3k or whatever I get back after buy back but it'll then always be a cat d or what ever they are now...
So anyway back on topic...
I know you'll all say pics are needed here which I wish I'd got before now but with the shock, adrenaline, fucked offness and headache I didn't think to. I'll get some in the morning!
But if I say I want to keep hold of the car how easy is it likely to be to get it to...
Seriously what the f**k are you talking about? Get away with what??? I have nothing to proove. Are you trying to suggest I'm lying about the state of my boot floor prior to the incident?
Don't judge me by your own poor standards if that's the case.
f**k off being a patronising dick!!
I'm not a mechanic and I don't have a drive to store the car on. But that doesn't mean I don't like my car. It was involved in a crash so it got reported to the insurance as it should have been. I'll see what happens when they get in touch tomorrow. I might...
.
Yes I have thanks. I've had this car 6 years now and it's been within CS ownership for a lot longer than that. I had a 172 for 5 before that. I'm an enthusiast so I'm not sure what your trying to suggest tbh?
Don't think so but I wasn't really looking until the last split second as I caught it in the mirror through the corner of my eye and then it was thump ?.
He seemed quite decent at the time tbh. Kept apologising for it etc...
Don't think he was right up my arse before the point of impact at least lol. Think he was one of those strange folk who like to waist their clutch by slowly creeping forward a bit instead of just waiting with the handbrake on. He was young too!
Cheers, they'll be ringing me in the morning (just weekend staff when I reported it) and will see about keeping it when I speak to them... It's given me a nice headache at the moment so just going to leave it tonight.
I think I'll have to let them have it, I don't have anywhere that I can keep it ?. The only thing I could do is find someone willing to buy and take it asap!
So I was in a queue of traffic in Leeds this aft and the lad behind accidently slipped off his clutch and went into the back of me. Absolutely gutted. The boot floor now has a large bend in it so I'd say it's going to be a write off which is a shitter
Spout? ? It was just a suggestion on why the cable might be 10mm longer on the 182.
I didn't really feel the need to spend the evening researching an answer that I did say in the 1st place might be wrong... ?
Quick google and this is 1st review that says otherwise!
"The ride is less fidgety over bumpy surfaces, too, largely due to a longer wheelbase and wider track. "

Permanent burn was all but eradicated long before the demise of plasma tv's. I don't think oled suffers any worse and the brightness levels are getting better all the time.
If I was spending around 1k on a TV I'd consider looking at Philips Ambilight as well as Samsung etc.
Iirc the service light comes on with th airbag fault.
30k not being bad for the clutch made me laugh. I'd be pissed of if mine only lasted that long lol.
I don't think that would be written off myself. My Clio got bumped a bit ago and was repaired fine. Needed a new xenon headlight wing and bumper respray, a new genuine splitter ( at their stupid price) and new arch liners and a courtesy car for a few weeks.
Good to see the OP got his ££'s though :)
