IT network/domain stuff for small charity (plz help)

You don't need an expensive super powerful server as a domain controller. Just setup an "okay" PC with as a server. Iirc charities can get decent discounts on MS licences.

To cam or not to cam that is the question

My 182 with 197 cams made 159f/lb and 188hp and happily kept up with my friends 182 that had 438's and apparently 193bhp. On that basis I'd say they were good value for money (if you need your belts doing!) That was also with the cat still on so it might find a few more ponies if I put a decat on.

    Philips Hue and Living colours

Thats a cracking deal. Would've gone for it my self if I didn't already have enough bulbs... Shame they don't seem to be doing much with the Iris, blooms etc this year. I also struggled to make that link I posted above work for some reason.

    Philips Hue and Living colours

Don't think they work, unless they've updated them. The new Ikea ones are meant to work and are cheaper. They only do white ambience ones so far though.

    Philips Hue and Living colours

You can get various faceplates for the dimmer switch from eBay that go over a normal light switch.

    Philips Hue and Living colours

The dimmer switches are better than the tap. They do 5 scenes and dim and come off the bracket to use as a remote. Only £20 too.

    Recommend me a laptop...

Was £350 with VAT the other week and was a good deal at that so £318 is very good. I doubt you'll find a better deal on black friday tbh...

    Recommend me a laptop...

I've bought 3 of these for customers of mine and they're great at the price point. You'll struggle to find another laptop for the money with a 256GB ssd (which makes all the difference...)...

    The New Phone Thread

I'm not sure age has anything to do with it? Unless it's a poor sensor then it's probably doing what it's meant to be doing and turning off the charging rather than risk damaging it. Only thing I think could be wrong with it is if it's over sensitive to humidity or something. When mine did it I...

I've had the moisture warning on my s8. All I did was give it a wipe with a tissue using a pin to get it in the gap and it was fine again.

    What Smart Home Systems?

Both work great from my phone with location etc. Also loads of different hue apps to try. The £20 light switches are also well worth it.

    What Smart Home Systems?

I use philips hue and nest which both work well. They're not the cheapest if you're just starting out with it though.

    Richer Sounds 6 Year Warranty

Got my LG from there and it died after 3 years. Claimed under sale of goods act (now consumer rights act) as unfit for purpose and they still fixed it for free!

    New 271bhp Hyundai i30

It's a mechanical diff according to pistonheads! I quite like it. It's success in the uk will probably be based around what deals can be had I imagine. But if it has the 7 year warranty or whatever they have nowadays then it'll be onto a good start for a lot of people who buy rather than rent...

    The New Phone Thread

It's hardly "game changing" when Samsung already make 2 phones that (give or take) are already as good as the note. Not to mention the other brands that have phones of a similar spec... They're all just an evolution of what we've already had before. When someone brings one out that never needs...
