Spray can in silver will look even worse and like you've tried and failed. As above silver stickers, vinyl, tape, or small brush and hammerite the areas. It honestly does sound like you care though as you want it fixed so I would spend £30-£40 on a second hand wing off eBay or a breakers in...

Yep, 172 Cup Driveshafts, genuine rear pads?fuel filler necks, rear pre-fabbed brake lines to name a few. There are a lot more items no doubt... :(
