    Waxybox chat thread

Looking forward to August. Lilke the banana spray air freshener, but would never use it in the car as I share it with others. Around the house, however... lol. The sealant I'm going to try on the spoiler, as recently Tripple/C2'd the whole car and love the sheeting, beading, looks, so don't...

Ibis White Audi TT S-Line Roadster Protection Detail - Gtechniq C2v3!

Interesting Andy/Dave. I felt C2V3 added to the looks of the Panzer, over Tripple. Feel this might be the case with lighter colours, but with reds (pizza boy shuttit ;) ) and other warmer colours it has an effect... Yet to see dad's, which has had the same combo, but on a very light/clinical blue.

    Audi RS3 and RS5

Definitely softer than a nail brush. Something like the soft brush out of a shoe polishing set is ideal. You need very little pressure. And as Andy/Chapppers has said, with quite new cars such as those, I doubt you'll need to get the brush out.

    Audi RS3 and RS5

^^^what pizza boy said. Or Gliptone. Both very good leather products. Key is not to get the leather soaking, so damp MFs to dust down, the small amount of cleaner with a very soft brush agitating to a foam. Then wipe down with a damp cloth again.

    Car collections at your work

Most cycle in, so the work car park is made up of what ever is being tested for How to Spend it. Recently had two new R8 V10+, Veyron Super Sports, XKRS x2 few others.

Hi, welcome to the worst choice you have ever made ;) What do you have currently?

    Using C2v 3

I still think it is to do with darker shades that retain heat. I struggle to see what else it could be. That and the fact that it shows up worse on darker cars, compounding the issue. You never like any product I recommend - starting to feel it's personal :P

In answer to this, yes, you can paint it on. Several members have either painted it on, or sprayed the area, then used a paint brush to ensure an even coat.

    Detailing Chat & Questions Thread

Good question, I have no idea. Instructions are to soak the application in product, how you do this is not included. I'd be asking Rob or DW members. Give me a sec.

    Using C2v 3

I did it during the heat wave, because I did it at night. Cool enough not to cause panel temp issues, dry enough due to the heat wave. Bingo.

    Using C2v 3

They shouldn't be anywhere near OTT. The panels should be cool. If they are even mildly warm it will affect the application of most spray sealants, C2V3 included. I have my theories that this is where people are going wrong with black being the worst colour for heating up quickly in the Sun.

This^^^ They'll never be as good, Don, due to the lack of pressure. They'll create foam, but not the shaving foam consistency most are after (as it clings for longer).

    Blackhole And C2V3..... WOW!!

Depends on your application. Some users on DW have found that it smears on some colours - I personally think it's down to user error, but it just shows up more on Blacks and reds. This "issue" is resolved if diluted with RO water.

Ibis White Audi TT S-Line Roadster Protection Detail - Gtechniq C2v3!

Have to be perfectly honest, Andy - there have been times in the last where Kev and I have picked apart your threads/details and queried you doing other peoples' cars. Which I am sure you appreciate the reasoning for doing so. But you've come a long way since those days and the Audi looks...

Very cheap, very good Wheel cleaner!

It's highly acidic. So it can be that bad. And worse.
