Amazed by Citrus power. A god send for a Londoner who can properly correct and protect his car no more than once a year. Spray on, wax safe, dissolves muck, watering can off. Yes it's not perfect and I wash it when I can, but it makes a big difference!
Re: Audi TT Quattro Sport - Clio trophy 147/500 replacement!
But again, Chris, I loved my Clio when I whizzed around back roads and roundabouts at the age of 17. It rode as if it had no suspension, no body roll, etc etc as it had coilovers, solid top mounts, a good chassis etc.
But I no...
Re: Audi TT Quattro Sport - Clio trophy 147/500 replacement!
Completely put my hands up, I've not driven the Z4, but have driven quite a number of high powered RWD cars (Astons, Porsches, Rarris, Mercs etc). None of them move during winter, my family cars do (RS4, RS6, R8, S3 etc). All have...
Nattys Blue. Lasts a decent amount of time, easy to use/eat as it smells of bubblegum! And it looks good. All for £15. I'd struggle to choose between HD and Nattys though...
Re: Audi TT Quattro Sport - Clio trophy 147/500 replacement!
;)
I know how written word comes across, but this is just a debate, no slagging going on here :)
Rob's post about going on track with his Z4 showed they were swinging the back end out in the wet fairly easily... that would show...
Re: Audi TT Quattro Sport - Clio trophy 147/500 replacement!
How on earth can you compare a Z4M to a TT225? Perhaps a Z4M to a TTRS, then I know what I'd order. Hell, I'd buy the TTS over the BM.
But not everyone requires a "drivers" car... The Z4's "amazing drive" would be lost on me. I'd find the lack of grip in the wet frustrating and concerning. I drive 10 miles max at the weekend all in a straight line. Traffic light to traffic light. My s3, much like the tt, is quick (RR@278)...
The answer is not always to look at a different system or higher cut - the first question would be as Dave and I were chatting about, i.e. your process/technique. How quickly are you moving the machine across the area? What size of area do you mask off and cover? How many passes? Once we get to...
C5 if you're willing to prep properly (and by properly, I mean PROPERLY).
Mint Rims from James@AF above, Poorboys Wheel Sealant is very good, as is FK1000p.
Re: Audi TT Quattro Sport - Clio trophy 147/500 replacement!
A debate between two cars and a month of fantastic memories? I know this is a car forum, but blimey, come on! Easy choice - memories over metal.
Cleaners remove dirt from the paintwork, so technically, something like Prime could be used before and after polishing to remove grime. It's an extra step that includes a chemical cleaner, rather than something abrasive.
Re wax, I would look at second hand pots of Zymol Carbon, or push the...
There is no right and wrong in detailing as it's all person experiences, budgets, time to spare etc... but if I may, John;
Quick declaration that this is purely "in my opinion" from a few years in the detailing circles :) And if you'd like links/further info, shout :)
