    The Dark Knight.... Progress Thread

Mate, the car looks, sounds and goes so well, there is no point in selling it or not getting it fixed. What would you do? Sell it and start again? Have a word. Get the hub sorted, be happy again. Done.

RB 200 - Detail following Chappers instructions :D

I have to say, it looks superb. Not taking anything away from your hard work, but it is such a rewarding and easy colour to really bring out the best, provided you know what you're doing. Not sure on the wax choice and definitely suggest against Red Mist as a QD, but it's all personal...

Welcome. As above, Halfrauds for some wet and dry and then polish by hand. If you know someone with a machine polisher that will make your life all the more easy!

Best bit of beading I've seen so far.

As has been said, good sealant beading. Lovely colour, Racing Blue.

I was also surprised at your use of S500 as well... Was it necessary to go that harsh so quickly? What did you refine it with?

    Roof scratches/marks/lines

Black hole is a great masking/filling product. Use after or instead of a polish. Nattys blue is a low cost, great results wax. Use after black hole. egp is an old favourite product. But very out of date and aimed at the mass market. If you want long term protection, use a few layers of that...

**SWIRL WARNING** Honda Civic EG Detail + Road Trip 18 years of Neglect

I disagree. Of course you were there in person, but there is a difference between chemical cleaners and polishes. Look at the amount of grime paint cleansers such as Werkstat prime remove from the paint work, even after polished have been used. Tardis breaks the chemical (glue in this...

**SWIRL WARNING** Honda Civic EG Detail + Road Trip 18 years of Neglect

Good work on the correction, especially round what is a very rough car. However, Tardis and IronX are there for your benefit. Tardis would have made short work of the sticker residue. A consideration for next time :star:

    Applying C5 wheel sealant question

15ml should do 8 wheels. But as they're both quite fiddly wheels I'd buy 30 ml. And that's over doing it. In terms of prep, regardless of them having just been refurbed, they're still likely to be dirty. Wash down with the usually mitt and soapy water. IronX, rinse, clay, wash, IPA wipe down...
