Re: The Confused Budget Track Clio!
only a difference of opinion dude!! i must admit im with beeson on this one but youre welcome to put together your own project mate!! :)
Re: The Confused Budget Track Clio!
tbh, the only fair one to compair them too is ians old bus, since lee's and kel's both have cloth its not really a fair comparason!
down and out on nice wheels,
pretty much the only thing worth doing on a non-sport imo!!
everything else i think renault did a good job on, maybe some OEM+ bits here and there and some colour coding.
Re: The Confused Budget Track Clio!
ohh gee thanks!!
its true, i also remember OMG's engine being rather good, but then why do f0xy and all that run F4Rs in their track cars??
and shh dont say that about the bodied 182, i once mentioned that in a thread and i got flamed!! lol
Re: The Confused Budget Track Clio!
might have to beg you to do a couple of bits still!! lol, that or ill just clean them up as much as i can, and then paint the bits!!
and iirc F7R<F4R!! lol ;)
and ill be home in at most 5 weeks, but most likely sooner,
Re: The Confused Budget Track Clio!

:( not what i was expecting to read in a project thread, im sorry for your loss,
clio will hopefully put a smile on your face, theyre so much fun to drive with the arb/camber/proline set up!
get yourself to some track days if you can, then you can really give it a good thrashing!!
enjoy it and...
Re: my black ph1 clio sport(1.2) 'euro to be' :)
"euro to be" is a very brave title!!
calling your car euro carries huge expectation of originality and creative thinking, and usually, a pretty large budget!
good luck dude!!
this has really brightened my day, i was worried how my fixed buckets would be seen my an MOT tester!!
im guessing this is the same story for harnesses and such?!
Re: The Confused Budget Track Clio!
haha dont worry, ill keep quiet!! ;)
P is a good starting point just to get the car going as theyre so cheap, and when it comes to F7R, the conversion is rediculously easy! :)
this same issue came with my 172 when i bought it,
cleaned the connector to the solenoid up a little and now it works fine!!
hopefully its the same for you dude!
seems like its got a bit of an identity crisis,
track car with lots of rear speakers??
looks good from the outside though!!
and change your harness mounts!! :)
Re: The Confused Budget Track Clio!
even with the state it's in, this car was an absolute steal!! look forward to reading this thread dude!! and im sure ill be lending a hand with a few bits over the summer!! :)
easier idea could be to try and start it on easy start if it has compression and spark!!
it should fire for a few short seconds if you spray quite a bit in there!
well i guess youre paying the price for it!!
always clean the threads with rust bolts, and if its not bolting against anything, a breaker bar should not be needed!!
make sure you check the thread in the rear beam isnt damaged!! i for one would consider a new rear beam tbh, quite a lot of force...
how much force are you putting into these things?!
theyre a pretty hefty bolt to begin with, im not sure how so many people are managing to sheer them!!
id want to do some investigating as to why it snapped in the first place.
I had an Ex Mrs open a door full pelt onto a metal bollard once!! i was litterally in shock!!
thankfvckfully it hit the door handle and bounced off, but i was still shocked how inconsiderate she could be with other people property!!
imo, you should give the dog her favourite shoes as a chew...
engine dressing looks really nice!! what is it???
personally im not a fan of the pops and bangs map, i think its cheating!! lol
but you car does look mint mate!! :)
stiffer suspension with less travel to stop scrubbage??
that what i did, and managed the get the arch sitting about 4mm away from the tyre. and zero scrubbage! ;)
imo, they look much better with the tyre out the arch rather than cambered in!!
project looks really cool dude!! borbets are awesome!!
