Re: 3 Stages of my 1.6 Clio
hmm, glad you changed the wheels,
but i wouldnt expect this to get too much love on cliosport.net.
most of the mods seem a little......chavy?! and those windows are crying for attention!!
also, if youre front on insurance (im not sure if i read that wrong) just...
im also not a big fan of EBC, they dont get rated at all on the clios!
if youre going for standard callipers, most people rate
carbone lorraine pads with brembo HC discs, (braided lines and good fluid obvs)
and yozza's are normally the exhaust of choice!!
personally, id also say keep the...
you get what you pay for imo,
v-maxx £350,
ktec £170 (yes thats was their price when the supplier rokkor/raceland sold them direct, the price went up abit once ktec started distributing them!)
i wouldnt call it bullying.
people come on here far to often with terrible cars, and aweful atitudes. Then the post up their chavy horrible cars on a forum thats interested in mainly OEM+ mods (not because we're all inspirationless sheep, but because we have taste and it works!!) and it gets...
if you want a cheap track toy, id personally go for the ph1 172,
theyre seriously cheap, and the cable throttle makes them more of a raw drive imo!
id stay away from the 182's as they tend to hold their value a lot better, and for the money, theyre really not much quicker!!
The reason you wont...

this is the third one of these ive seen!!
first one for a clio was new, and therefore funny/original!!
the second for a focus was so abstract that it topped the first!!
but...
imo, you wont even notice a 40mm drop!! will look pretty standard!
if youre selling the car, i wouldnt bother, just leave it as it is as modded cars isnt worth the money unless youre going to keep it!!
either way, if you buy hubs and coilies, you could just take them off when you sell them, and...
defs needs lows mate!! but its looking pretty tidy so far!!
also, 1.2 8v's are normally 52mm bolt spacing, and sometimes 58mm (never heard of them being 56mm)
keep your eyes peeled for a set of the racelands in either of those two sizes because you can simply change the hubs over from the 52mm...
cant see how this warrants a project thread!
pics of you car on standard wheels (because i cant work out which wheels youre talking about), or even with the wheels shopped black!
and what wheels are you thinking of replacing the standards with??
nope, the group buy was for mk2, my mate got a set!! and i believe you can fit them to a mk1 as the topmounts are the same anyways!! might be best getting a second opinion from someone who has actually measured the two though!! lol
sorry if im going off course, but i didnt really want to start a new thread on this,
is camber measured as the degrees over all, asin, if you have 1.5 degrees of negative camber either side, is that a total of 3degrees negative??
im asking because while testing a set up today, with 1.75degrees...
id personally want to seriously address whats been rubbing on the line also!!
something like that should have been spotted at its early stages during the last MOT?!
this!! whilst im a student ive been driving my sisters T plate 1.3 KA,
£300 T&T and i never knew £10 petrol could go so far!!
ph1s are the same engine, just older.....therefore other than the money youll get from selling your 182, youre no better off!
perhaps lay the 182 up, and buy a cheap...
i did a search but it only came up with a dead link unfortunatley!!
so does anyone know where i can get eyelets with the correct size thread to screw them into the b-pillar as the ones i have are a 7/16" thread which is slightly too big!! :(
Ok, sorry ive not updated this in a while!! with christmas, new year and general shocking weather, ive not managed to get out on the car a lot recently!!
however, ive stripped all the interior out of the car (and realised i now need to lower the rear slightly)
all the tar has been removed...
i lowered 60mm+ on standard shocks, it does work but might not handle/ride very well!!
just save a little longer and get a set of raceland coilies, then you can have it what ever height you like!! lol
result, ive removed all the airbags, wiring, side impact sensorts, airbag ecu, pretensioners, and wiring and guess what!!
no airbag light what so ever!! rather chuffed with myself tbh, but have no idea what single changed caused the lights to turn off!! lol
i have an airbag ecu and side impact sensors for sale if you need them never been in a crash either (duh)
and if its a ph1 i also have both the front airbags!
also, rear seats will not have pretensioners, so youre alrigt there!!
providing your chassis is straight, the worst youll need is...
anything from £100 to £1000+!!
if you went to a scrappie, you could probs haggle an engine out of them for £100,
drop it in yourself if you handy with a spanner and off you go,
garage will probs charge 4-5 hours labour so around £250 to fit id imagine.
and thats only if you dont want to get...
