Good man. Foam wise I would suggest Meguiars Hyper Wash but it's only available online (unless you live close to an online shop's warehouse!). Also good as a pH neutral shampoo and APC.
Karchers are ok. I've fallen out with their plastic impellers in the pumps which can brake. Replaced with a Nilfisk.
Foam wise, do a quick search for snow foam. Couple of threads recently.
Nice use of the search. The model CS user.
You can technically use any shampoo as a foam. They might not stick or foam as well. I'd stick to tried and tested foams.
Lovely. As Gally has stated, a few things the wrong way around, but this hobby is all about a learning curve. The car itself is super!
If I may add, next time, try using a damp applicator to apply the wax and use what seems like far too little product. You'll be surprised how far it spreads and...
As Jay has stated, a "detail" covers all manner of things, but the real definition is ensuring every single part of a car is cleaned, treated and looking its best. The attention to "detail" is the key.
Precisely. It shaves off the rough layer of surface paint after a stone chip or scratch repair, meaning the user can ten polish the surface down evenly creating a more professional repair.
I whole heartedly disagree, Luke. 800 grit is very coarse. I wouldn't take 800 to a wooden door, let alone thin plastic.
Slob, 2000-3000 will be plenty. It is a build up and a reaction on the surface of the plastic, not a deep seated "infection" of the material. Therefore you want to remove the...
As above, the Menz polishes or the 3M polishes are great. The colour system is much easier to follow on the 3M products that the letters and figures on Menz, but if you get your head around them they're superb.
I would suggest 3M's ultrafina initially, depends on how hard the paint is and how...
Search the number of "helping each other out" posts/threads I have made in this section, young'un. Then use the search function to read through all the threads on exactly the same subject that appear just below yours. Then, if your questions have not been answered at least 17 times, you can call...
You can't have searched very far as Menzerna appears in most of my threads and posts...
On a Clio, IP3.02 and 85 will finish it down nicely. Only use the Intensive Polish if you really need it.
Pads wise, it's personal preferance. The 3M yellow and blue pads would be my choice. Failing that...
I can recommend the search button?
The Meg's system is basic. It depends on your budget and whether you are a Halfords shopper or willing to get in to detailing and buy the best, more expensive products online.
A cleaner or a protector for trim? All purpose cleaner to clean, there are a...
I do t think it's s**t. It just takes longer. I like the fact you can leave it on wheels then blast off the dried gel. For a wheels off detail, it's great as you can get on with the body work or arches.
However, it is slower as stated, so for bodywork it makes sense to choose iron-x over it.
