But the mk2 ph1 has over the years been nicknamed the mk2 ph-quick because its quicker than all the ph2 models.
i always thought this was because it was lighter, but it may on the otherhand be down to the slightly better shaped airbox...
Ph1s are much better than ph2 cups if you intend to drive hard!!
cable throttle makes the car much more responsive, and its overall a quicker because its light.
plus imo, i think they look more hardcore.
Best thing to do with a cliosport is just completely strip it out, uprate the suspension...

pick up a mk2 nonsport with a snapped cambelt for pennies and do the entire conversion and scrap the mk1 shell, could almost do the entire thing for free!!
