fair point, sorry you are right on that front, very stupid and badly thought through point :o
in which case unless your very concerened about the stance, i really dont see the need for coilovers,
i driven cars with vmax setups,
and my car has spax adjustables with eibatch springs,
both...
the thing i find funny, is that most people buy coilovers, and never adjust the height of them once they set them up themselves (badly)
unless you want to go very low, or intend to be adjusting the ride height, id go with shocks and springs,
£500 = koni adjustable shocks, and eibatch...
ive got the top one in my valver,
theyre solid as a rock mate,
almost no movement in the engine what so ever.
obviously the vibrations will come through to the car, but if you dont mind stuff like that, id say go for it!
on of my favourite mods to my valver imo
i stripped all the headlining, a pillar covers, sun visors, grab hangles and clips out of mine today, and it might as well weigh nothing :@,
dont suppose you have any idea how much the main carpet weights crispy?? thats my job for tomorrow,
then im simply down to a dash and door cards :D
So i got my clio (valver) early september, and it had some serious leaking issues left right and centre,
(one wheel arch, pretty serious sunroof leak and ariel leak)
i fixed them all, and no more water came in,
but today i went about stripping my headlining out, and the metal ceiling is...
so does it cut out?? or is it simply that the idle is too low??
if the idles too low, it should barely affect you driving somewhere, just means you have to rev it in traffic,
try giving the throttlebody a good clean,
and perhaps change the idle control valve??
Vicky, being that you're the rep,
where shall we be meeting for a cruise up from southend kinda way??
and what time??
and i thought you lived in romford??
could say 6/6:30ish at somewhere in bas?? saves you doubling back??
Since so many of us go lakeside at the weekends, and all manage to miss each other.
perhaps we should set up a mini meet,
over Tesco carpart, say 7/8/9pm?? ill leave that up to public prefrence!!
ill be there :D and hope to see some others
1. Clio142
ive been told by my mates that they never let oil leekers on the rollers,
can anyone else confirm this for me?? as i dont want to get there and be told that i cant go on the rollers :(
by "next weekend" do you mean tonight??
i didnt plan on it tbh, its been getting weaker and weaker as time goes on!!
sorry titch, i look out for your car!! but i never see it! lol
The standard renault one was a lot more flat, and have the brake light on the other part, thats a standard one that someone has stuck on
i thought it was a DEchaving project?
and please get rid of those reflectors on the foglight blanks and fit some fogs!!
and personally, i like the...
haha i swear i manage to miss everyone......everytime!! lol
where do you lot normally hang around??
tesco?? mcdon?? truckworld?? or on the strip??
i doubt ill be going this weekend tbh, its getting too cold/wet to bother going
haggle them up to 2.2k for it,
minus the exess, and take £1600 and buy a nice ph1!
then hope and pray they catch the scumbag who did it, and you can claim it all back off his insurance
ps, does your insurance not cover against being hit by uninsured drivers or vandalism??
could this incident...
looks nice mate,
i also intend to own one of these, one day! lol
id change the headlights for standards,
change the backlights, wheels,
and get some stance on it!! possible loose the spoiler,
then id go weak at the knees
my moan is on the INCREASE of car insurance,
my first year at 18 should have been 1500, which is bearable for me at the time.
my compaint is that at 18 it is now 2688 for the same car i had at the same age!
my friend in question has no other car to use, and has to take a 2 hour commute by bus...
im pretty sure a huge number of people on the roads dont NEED a car,
and youre right, this rediculous prices are just enocouraging people to lie!
so if daddy isnt rich enough, you're not allowed to drive??
seems fair! great!!
i bet you vote conservative ;)
i just think it seems unfair to...
a 1.2 mk2 ph1 clio is pretty much worthless!!
i a bit unfair that people are allowed to drive at 17, pass their test and basically told to F off by the insurance companies.
i genuinly do not believe any full time student could afford that kind of money for insurance on a part time wage! and...
A friend of mine has just passed his test and on the hunt for a first car!
hes 18 and lives in a good area,
£2688 a year for a 1.2 clio,
and thats after having a look around!!
im all for poor little rich kids paying over the odds for nice cars, but its possibly the most basic car anyone...
