They are pretty good tbf. No other company could touch my renewal. I rang them up and just simply asked if they could knock me money off. They did. I then added breakdown cover and got that pretty cheap too. Ended up saving myself & my dad about £100, without even having another quote that could...
Cheeky f*****s LOL. I knew that they didn't actually "cover" you for mods as such, but I always assumed that they'd charge extra. Ill see what they say when I give them a ring.
I've been with them for 4 years now, so hopefully they'll have a bit of lee-way with me (this fact actually worked come...
I must have been raped then. When I had the 1.2 a few years back, think I was 18 when I had that, I declared an exhaust, suspension change and tints. Doubled the price to £1200.
I need to ring them soon to find out the cost of adding lowered suspension is to the sunflower.
IIRC, no they don't. They have to send your wheels to a place that dip them in acid or something. Website states atleast 2 working days, but your best to imagine that you'll have a good 4 days without, as they're always rammed. I dropped mine off on Monday morning, got them back at about 6pm...
How the f**k did you get it that high, ScottDOT (you'll always be a DOT wanker)?! The most I ever saw in my 200 was 34mpg and that was proper granddad driving.
More photos in my project thread, but yeah, for the money, they're awesome. Id definitely go there again.
They're not 100% perfect, but for the money, how battered the wheels were and the fact that its a 12 year old shed, I couldn't really care LOL.
Refurbished and Polarised Goodness
Picked my wheels up last night from City Powder Coaters, in Birmingham. For the price you pay, quality is amazing!! Just the fact that they got rid of all the ridiculous amount of curbing/damage on the wheels is enough for me to be happy! (Shame about their...
Picked mine up last night. For £20 per wheel (for the actual powder coating etc), their work is epic. My wheels were curbed to high hell, but they've got rid of all that and the finish is pretty damn good too.
My two front tyres were right on the limit (uneven wear ffs), so i've only had two of...
^ Clarkey, I just drove past you ;) (was driving my dad's car though)
I want more info on these PI's. They seem a pretty rare brand when it comes to 1*2's.
The East Midlands "ClioSport vs Food" Challenge
The Flaming Burger Challenge
So here it is sports fans, here it is. The thread that we've all been waiting for.
For those not in the know, the challenge is as follows...
Jenic will be coming.
Ill whack a thread up tomorrow, if one hasn't been made by that point.
GON' B GUD!! Cannae wait! I'm confident about completing the burger. The chips will be my everest.
This is the reason for my OP.
A lot of people who have actually had them, say that they're alright (many still say they don't like them). Then the masses, which many may not have had, say they're terrible.
Anyone know much about PI springs?
I think the 1*2 drop is 40mm on Apex. Sportlines are meant to be 30mm. PI are 25mm. Prolines are 10-15mm iirc.
I'm only wanting about 30mm tbh. 40mm is the absolute max that id go. I only want to reduce a little bit of arch gap.
Interesting views.
Don't get me wrong, unless a stupidly cheap set on my doorstep come up for sale, I will not be putting Apex on the car. I just wanted to know people's views on them, as they have varied views about them.
Sportlines are my preferred option. I do feel coilovers are a bit wasted...
As above, just generally wondering, are they as bad as people make out?
With Eibachs seemingly rising in price, to the point where coilovers may be a viable option for a few quid extra, would Apex cut it?
Are they really crashy, s**te etc?
Cheap for a reason?
I'm obviously wanting Sportlines...
That photo looks amazing Dave. Mouth has just filled with saliva. I best start training for this event. Get a thread up Grayster.
The 4th or 5th should be alright for me I think. Id prefer a Sunday though (or a Saturday that i'm not working). Because awkward bass.
f**k me, these are ridiculously bad at getting hold of. Phone has been constantly busy this morning. They'd better pick up today, to confirm that I can pick up tomorrow, or ill be pretty pissed off.
