    Snow Foam Lance?

In that case, it's a valuable addition. Works wonders on cutting through grease and other contaminants - like you say, pre detail.

    Hexlogic pads which ones ?

I would agree. Pearce; by buying separately you will do yourself out of a few quid. The Sonus pads are very good for new users to machines. They are hard wearing and have a good range of cuts, from harsh to finishing. The Menz polishes are, again, what I would advice (;)) for a new starter and...

Detailing noob needs final go ahead!!!

Jet wash down, everywhere. Then clean wheels. Tyre dressing should be at the end as one of the final stages, mainly due to letting the tyres dry fully to maximise the longevity of the tyre product. Don't forget to wipe off the ITR, then rinse the car down. Then move on to claying (without...

Bad staining on wheels....what to use?

Lol at Toby taking on the new mods ;) I can't really add to the above, Mike. A decent cleaner, followed by a good polish/protect will see you right.

    Snow Foam Lance?

Careful with the APC chap, remember that is likely to strip some of the LSP. Great for a foam pre detail, but as an ongoing pre wash, I would stick with just the MHW.

    Snow Foam Lance?

The liquid is actually called Snow Foam. But you can use All Purpose Cleaners, shampoos and other products in them, dependant on what you require. The thing to look out for is a pH neutral shampoo or Snow Foam. I tend to use Megs Hyper Wash as it produces a decent foam and has a good cleaning...

    Surface Rust on Brake Discs

Simon, The reason people are taking the piss is the simple fact that coating your brake discs in a product will render them useless. hence it looks like a pretty stupid question. The simple answer is to drive the car forwards and brake, bringing the pad into contact with the brake disc, thus...

+2 on the above for the 3M pads. However, the recent Hydratec pads from Lake County are pretty good as well.

    Wheel Cleaners

Megs Wheel Brightener Much like Wonder Wheels in terms of heavy use. Dilution dependant of application. 4:1 for wheels. Not for use on polished or Alu finished wheels. £23.95 per gallon. http://www.i4detailing.co.uk/acatalog/Meguiars_Wheel_Brightener_2.html I4D Bright Wheels Good product...

    iPhone 5?

He said "announced". I'm guessing that's the date of the next Apple "this is where are company is going" conference where they usually show case the new phone and give a release date.

    iPhone 5?

ORLY? With ideas like that, we must be twins. Except for the fact that my misses is getting my old 4 and I get a nice new 5 when my contract is up in June. And I have to pay the upgrade fee. So really we're not twins. Bennnnnnnnnnnnnn???
