I usual wear nitrile gloves when washing my car and I hate getting polish on my hands so usually have the water extra hot lol. Will be investing in a lambs wools mitt though
I just don't see how you can wash something with cold water. It's the warm water that softens up the dirt to help remove it.
I don't mean that is a rude way, just that's how I see it but I ain't no expert :)
Always change the dephaser when changing the cambelt, even if it isn't showing any signs of being worn. No point paying £450 for a cambelt change for your dephaser to start making noise and having to rip it all off and do it again.
As for water pumps; it's isn't very common for them to fail...
