I just don't see how you can wash something with cold water. It's the warm water that softens up the dirt to help remove it. I don't mean that is a rude way, just that's how I see it but I ain't no expert :)

Not really, I would rather just buy a new one for peace of mind knowing it has been done. Only £150 every 5 years or 72k miles.

Always change the dephaser when changing the cambelt, even if it isn't showing any signs of being worn. No point paying £450 for a cambelt change for your dephaser to start making noise and having to rip it all off and do it again. As for water pumps; it's isn't very common for them to fail...

Genuine Renault is around £180. Get a Valeo clutch as that is who make the clutches for Renault, just minus the price extra. Valeo one is around £130.

If it's the second lambda then no as they were only introduced on post 2001 cars so to cut down on emission if your cat wasn't functioning properly
