The last time I bought it, it was circa £15 delivered, and that was before the VAT increase.
Polished Bliss with their free shipping would be my suggestion, but you've mentioned you want to do it this weekend, which the 3-5 working day shipping won't guarantee...
As you've mentioned, the White Diamond is a good shout, decent filler glaze and should add that little bit of "something" to your paint.
Sealants wise, I tend to find acrylic sealants work the best. I would therefore suggest Chem Guys Blitz Spray or Werkstat Acryllic Jet.
All dealers are bad for washing cars. Mine was pretty much pristine until it went into Audi for a few days for an MOT and service. Even though I had specifically told them not to and there were signs all over the car, they washed it and marred it to feck.
I would say if you can afford one, you should buy one, regardless of machine.
However, not everyone who has a DA has a PDG... I didn't when I first started out and didn't have any issues.
Better safe than sorry, but it is down to personal opinion and circumstance.
Have you used a machine polisher before? If so, what are you currently using with the rotary?
Polishes do not distinguish between colours - they are there purely to take away small amounts of the top layer. Waxes and glazes are more suited to different colours.
I currently use the Menzerna...
If you're trying to achieve correction, it's not going to be easy by hand fella.
There are ways to step up from what you are currently using/doing - these are as follows;
GTechniq P1 or Menzerna 203s on a Hand Cut Pad.
These will be better at removing light swirls, but on VAG paint (hard as...
It depends how you look at it. With a paint guard system like 3M Venture Shield and the like, it can detract from the look of the paint work/car. If you're not fussed, it will save you £££ in resprays. But some people would rather a respray at a cost of £££ each year, rather than the protective...
Depends on how bad the metal is. Generally when I get a car in, it requires a wash down with APC, de-tarring with Tardis, then fine grades of wirewool with either Autosol or Belgom Alu. Then I tend to use Blackfire Metal Sealant to make it much easier to clean the next time around.
A day? Shiiiiit. Be surprised if I can get round mine in three straight. Panel a night will be where it's at, that's after a weekend's work on the rest (engine etc).
Look at that, a wee name change and Alex gets all cocky ;) Where are all the "S"s Curtissssssss?
Galtek, great stuff by all accounts - I'm in the same position. Waiting for a free weekend so I can do parts of the car as I go. Arches with C4 and wheels with C5 are next on the list! Then engine...
There are always going to be discussions and reviews about new products, but I think this one deserves a thread in the detailing community on this site.
