I'm replacing the front shocks on my 172 but I'm struggling to get over the first hurdle. The nut on the top mount is solid I can't get it to budge and it's spinning the top hat bit that sits on top of the spring. To make it worse I've snapped the Alen key in threaded bit too. Anyone got any...

Are these the correct 2 gearbox mounts I need for replacing the old one's? I've had a search but could'nt find a solid answer. I have the upper engine mount but wasn't sure if these were the right one's to buy. http://www.k-tecracing.com/basket.asp?msg=2

Tempted to buy these lines of ebay as they are a good bit cheaper than the goodridge versions. Anybody had experience with them? just as good as goodridge in terms of quality and fitment? and also will they fit a ph1 172 says on the ebay ad that the fit Clio 172 2001 onwards...

My 172 has suddenly developed a whine/squeel in 5th gear. It only happens when I come of the accelerator but when I accelerate the noise goes away, all gears are easy and smooth to engage nothing feels abnormal. Strange how the noise only comes from 5th gear anybody know what the problem could be?

Been thinking about fitting the interior door grab handles from a ph2 clio in to my ph1 as the current one's are pretty grubby scratched etc. Are they an exact fit and do the window switches just plug into the existing plugs too? had a search but couldn't find any solid answers.

I'm looking at fitting new shocks all round on my ph1 I know the rear shocks for a cup are a straight forward swap on a ph1 but I'm not sure if the front's would fit or not? Had a search but couldn't find a solid answer, can anybody shed some light on this?

Where is the cheapest place to buy a dephaser pulley from? I know the obvious place to get one from is renault but they will cost a fortune as usual.

My brother has a 1999 Renault clio initiale automatic. The car is fine apart from the dash lights flicker on and off when you have the lights on. They are more off than on. I've had the rear lights off cleaned all the connections both earths cleaned. Even had the rear number plate light out and...

Not long bought a ph1 172 everything works perfect apart from the fog lights. I've checked every fuse and they are all ok took the bulbs out and tested them and theyre fine. Anyone have any idea what could be the problem?

Fitted a new alternator to my williams last weekend the old one that was on it was 70amps rating and the new one i've put on is 90 amps. Looked under the bonnet yesterday and the battery was boiling hot and acid was leaking out it. Does anybody know what could be causing this?
