Gearbox mounts

We can't see what it is that you're buying chap. Just says 'basket empty'

But it's the purple Powerflex dog bone mount that you need.

Yeah mate that mount is behind the radiator,
it bolts to the subframe you should be able to tell if it's perished. Normally it's the upper gearbox mount (one under the battery tray) that causes the problems

Cool do you think that one is worth replacing? I dont have any knocks but the mounts seem to be giving a bit more engine movement than they should so I'm going to change them while the gearbox is being changed.

Have a look at it first i would say, see if it's split. I did the other gearbox mount but not this one. It is however the cheapest one!

Yeah the engine is ment to have a little movement through the mounts but mine are giving to much movement as mine are past it.

If you reckon they might be worn, change 'em while the box is out.

For the sake of £35 is it worth spending an hour or two getting the car stripped etc and getting your hands dirty again?!

I would definately do the bottom one as well

It is a bit of a pain to do but it will stop you snapping the bolt in the top gearbox mount like I managed to!

I'm confused..... I thought there was only the upper mount and the dogbone mount? The gearbox has 3 mounts?

There is one that sits on the subframe that you can;t really see..

You need to remove wheel arch liner etc to get to it.. this one
