Does a 172 Cup have a cabin filter? Where is it? :S

Im 25 with 7 years NCB and no convictions. I drive an unmodified 172 Cup 10'000 miles a year and its garaged. Fully Comp with Protected no claims. Any ideas? I think Direct Line are trying to lift my leg at £750 renewal (it was £580 last year ffs!) Im grateful for any suggestions, Kev

My Cup has done 56k and as far as I can tell its on its original clutch. There is no sign of it slipping, but the car had 26k on it when I bought it so I've no idea how it was treated during its early life. Should I be planning for a clutch change soon?

The standard head unit in my 172 Cup rattles when I turn it on or off. Also, rather oddly it wont read CD's past track 7.... I dont mind opening it up to have look. Just wondered if anybody else had the same problem.

This is probably on a thread somewhere but... Is it still possibe to buy 172 Cup Wheels direct from Renault as a spare part? Does anybody know how much they cost? I was going to to buy a second hand set and have them refurbed but Im not sure how the cost compares.

[see picture] The rear discs on my 172 Cup have done this on both driver and passenger sides, on the outboard face of each disc. The picture shown is after 5k miles in 3 months on new discs and pads. This is the third set of discs that have done this, all with brand new pads. the calipers...

I feel dumb asking this, but I'll ask anyway. What will happen if I remove the big black sheet of insulation attached to the underside of the bonnet? Will heat cause the paint on the bonnet to bubble? Is there anything wrong with doing this?

Just out of interest, the book says 138mph......... What is the fastest indicated speed anybody has seen in a standard 172 Cup.............on a private road or in a closed environment obviously. Childish question I know. :)
